He was nice to me when I was his cellmate, although I got moved to another hall a week later when space became available. There are no single cells in most of the jails, so they can stick you with any nutjob.

HMP Addiewell had single cells, but they went over capacity. But there was a lot of shoddiness in Addiewell, from Covid deaths to people sneaking in mobiles, to a female screw getting caught kissing an inmate. One good thing about Addiewell is that you get a full timetable. They have a library, so you can rent a CD, DVD or a book. One of each. Each day too, apart from over the weekend. And you can book the gym or use the one on your wing.

I worked with a lassie in a shop in 2006, and I liked her a lot. She was spoken for, sadly. And then in 2014, I noticed she was an officer in prison, which came as a surprise. But the world sure works in mysterious ways.
