MSNBC slashed star anchor Rachel Maddow’s annual salary by $5 million as the left-leaning network continues to reel from parent company Comcast’s decision to spin off its struggling cable properties, according to a report.

Maddow — who rakes in $30 million a year for hosting “The Rachel Maddow Show” just one day a week on Mondays — renegotiated for a $25 million salary for the next five years, the Ankler reported on Thursday.

“This is a difficult time and they needed to keep her,” one executive told the news site. “No one else can do what she does. You can’t build a brand like it overnight.”

Another executive called Maddow “ratings Viagra.”

What a waste of money. No anchor should make that much. My goodness!
Yet our teachers and nurses are barely scraping by. My mom was recently in the hospital and her nurse (who was an absolute angel) had her baby die inside of her at 6 1/2 months at the beginning of the year and she could barely take any time off aside from her emergency hospitalization, or her family wouldn't be able to survive.
Yet, people trying to piss everyone off for a living see $25 MILLION as a massive pay cut. What a world!

I'd like to see her try to survive on my $22,000 a year, one of her outfits probably costs more than that.

Ground Beef, $8 lb. chicken thighs over $4 lb, bell peppers were $1.99 each, those prices are just unreal, my old folks snap is $23.00 a month. And she gets $25 M for being a loud mouth liberal. I live in a small town and prices are not like they are in the bigger cities, but then again, I'm not making the kind of money that folks in big cities make either.
