A Stockton man is facing several abuse charges for allegedly punching his children as well as slamming a pet cat onto a table.
Robin Merrill Jensen, 35, was charged with two counts of child abuse and cruelty to animals.
On Jan. 15, Stockton police conducted an interview with an 11-year-old girl who claimed her father was abusing her and her 6-year-old brother, according to charging documents.
The girl stated that on one occasion, “Jensen had pulled her hair, punched her in the stomach and pressed her into a bed. (She) further indicated that a few months prior to that event, Jensen kneed her in the back and punched her a few times before kneeing and punching (her brother),” the charges state.
A few weeks before the interview, Jensen also hit his son’s head on a wall and “injured a cat by slamming it into a table in their home,” according to the charges.
Three people have filed for protective orders against Jensen since December, according to court records.
