According to authorities, on March 4, police arrested 25-year-old William Muniz and 28-year-old Editza Miro-Navarro
Police said the arrests were made in connection with the rape of their two-year-old daughter and the reckless endangerment of their two sons.
According to investigators, detectives in the Special Victims Unit began investigating Muniz on Feb. 5 after receiving allegations of child abuse. The investigation later developed information suggesting the alleged abuse was also sexual in nature and involved the couple’s three children — a girl and two boys between the ages of 2 and 8.
Detectives also determined that Miro-Navarro was allegedly aware of the abuse for approximately one month and did not report it, police said. Investigators further allege she destroyed evidence on a cell phone related to the case.
