Violent crime is at the lowest point in statistical history, so what's "anymore", exactly?
Everyone knows the justice system is flawed - in some respects, severely so. But I get the impression that you haven't even begun to consider the kind of hellfire abandoning the Constitution because some punishments aren't to your "liking" would unleash upon society.
The Constitution and SCOTUS are hardly idealistic entities. They're what keeps the rabid emotionalism in check. They are why hundreds of thousands swarm to this country every year. They are the backbone of the greatest nation on the planet. God help us if we were subjected to the rule of law created by everyone with an attitude like yours.
As a civil society, we don't execute retards and nutcases for their crimes, and that's okay with me. I argue all the time that death is far too good for violent offenders anyway. But no need to turn this into a death penalty debate... we've got plenty of those hanging around here.
Now, if someone distrusts the assertion that he's retarded to begin with, that's a different argument entirely. But bad things happen when people disregard the Constitution.
the admission of statistics on this topic is the implied permission and acceptance of the unpermittable and unacceptable. yeah percentages are lower, but who cares about that? it's just some on paper shit that people detached from the specific situations at hand use to make themselves feel better about a crumbling world. (not saying that about you personally) i hated that shit since math class, to me it's bunk, despite being rooted in reality. what it does is dehumanize humanity and is therefore insulting. plus the population is higher so that means these horrible things are actually happening to more people, and i dunno about you but i aint ready to pat society or any justice system on the back for that, we all can be greater than what we are, and those who prevent us from becoming so through evil actions are a liability. all through time, the purveyors of these evils go from generation to the next, while the torturous cycle repeats and strengthens. this is what has to be stopped. we don't do it good enough. in the meantime, the stream of innocent victims continues, and while people will feel bad, people feeling bad is never gonna make any of it go away, only in the deluded mind. we could hold all the rallies we want, donate all the money we want, write letters to stool pigeons and interns in washington, but there is literally no substitution for putting bullets between the eyes of those who through their actions, have dehumanized not only themselves, but innocent victims who deserved none of what they received. my response to the phrase "2 wrongs don't make a right" is "but it CAN."
this is more a philosophy discussion than anything else, because obviously i'm never gonna be benevolent dictator of america, i think i could help though. to me democracy in america is just the masses given some ass backwards mapquest directions so they never actually get to where they're trying to go. the media is complicit in this. i probably didn't make it clear enough though, the only way i'd be in favor of the constitution ACTUALLY being removed is if it is replaced by me and me only, and i'd passionately reinstate it as soon as some er, things, get taken care of, if ya know what i'm saying. a large chunk of the people who get threads on here for the things they did would be removed, their children given to those who would actually take care of them and nurture them the way they were meant to be upon creation, and help would be provided to those who are actually capable of being helped or rehabilitated.
there's a lot of people in the world, in business, in government, in positions to harm us, and they are free to do so. and we are free to sit there and take it because there ain't much else we can do about it through legal means. you can't just shoot the sons of bitches in the face because they have feelings and the ones that don't have feelings have armies, cops, judges, and laws they don't actually follow to protect themselves from us. i'm all about jurisprudence, fair trials, and blind justice, but if you think we actually have that you're lying to yourself. the court system straight up sucks ass. judges are crooked, lawyers will pull ANYTHING, CPS is ineffectual, and the cops and prosecutors only care about conviction regardless of whatever actually happened. we've got motherfuckers in jail for HAVING weed longer than people who rape and kill babies because of bullshit ass lawyer nonsense, much like what is being pulled here. i'm sorry but this man HAS TO DIE. if the court doesn't kill him, then someone else needs to do it. if he is not removed, i consider it a personal affront to decency and will treat it as such. i like the constitution but it hasnt been followed for a long time, powerful parties have circumvented it for years. to get back on the right path there needs to be a transitionary phase, one which i would not trust anyone other than myself to preside over. really i'm gonna talk about all this shit on my album.
if this dude is actually retarded and setting his baby on fire, it seems like he doesn't belong being alive anymore, whether he's retarded or not. wtf does IQ have to do with anything? it's just an excuse, that's all it is. it's not like he has anything to offer to the world anyway, especially if he is retarded and does things like this. he has a safety net to hide behind, thanks to lawyers and politicians using the constitution as toilet paper for at least the past 100 years.
the fact is, this man destroyed the one positive thing he could ever bring into this world with his measly existence, and now he must be destroyed. we do enough of this and just MAYBE we'll reach the point where this will not be necessary. i bet statistics would drop a whole lot then too.
for the record, i'm libertarian as hellllllllll by default, because the battery jackson brand of freedom-for-the-good-people fascism will not become a reality at this time. i agree with most of what you said, but i just think we're off the mark as a population and need to get a little blood on our shoes to get where we're supposed to be. no innocent person should be punished either. ever. that's why the death penalty is tough.
just pleeease don't use the "civilized" defense of not removing those who have no business existing anymore. it's just another soft feelgood 'doing the right thing' illusion. this society is still a major stronghold of violence, death, and other assorted debauchery. not saying anywhere else is better, just don't act like we are. just because certain things over time have been deemed unacceptable and many entities have established new guises to do the same old shit DOESN'T make us civilized. it makes us lying to ourselves about what we as humans really are, just animals that know how to talk and do stuff with their hands and feet.
i'm glad to have had this discussion, but i gotta get some work done for once...i'll be back to check in later!
i will leave you all with
