The husband said they had an "emotional conversation" that morning before he left for work. I wonder if she had discovered some deep, dark secret of his and that was why he killed them all?

So.... I know they need money for the funerals. But they asked for $100,000. They’ve raised $36,250. Isn’t that enough?

Idk. It just bugs me that these tragedies almost inevitably turn into a beg for cash.

I agree completely. It annoys me when people ask for unreasonable amounts. Like the woman who survived the Duck Boat sinking asked for half a million. I understand that multiple people needed to be buried, but many of them were older relatives who no doubt had assets of their own, plus, it just doesn't cost half a million to bury 9 people no matter how you calculate it. It's just a money grab.

Get used to the shackles and chains you twisted fuck!!

Emotional conversation my ass. Whatever they discussed it incensed Christopher Watts to the point that he acted in a murderous rage that ended with the decimation of his entire family.

Imagining what 4 year old Bella and 3 year old Celeste saw and heard before Daddy got around to them is chilling. I think he premeditated the murders and was prepared if things went south and Shanann had made the decision to leave him.

This guys feigned act of innocence fooled nobody.

Killer dad 'murdered his wife and two daughters at home, then stuffed their bodies into full gas tanks on the oil field he worked so they wouldn't smell' after 'rumors circulated among their friends that he was cheating'
  • Christopher Watts accused of killing wife Shanann, 34, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3
  • Two young girls found inside 'nearly full' fuel canisters at field where he worked
  • Investigators believe the method was intended to disguise the smell of decay
  • Watts has not been formally charged and cops not revealing method or motive
  • Faces three counts of first-degree murder and three of tampering with evidence
  • He claimed for days that his family was missing before cops say he confessed
  • Previously had been active in giving media interviews about disappearance
  • Family had struggled with paying back debts and filed for bankruptcy in 2015
  • Due in court next week to face $1,500 lawsuit from homeowners' association
  • Most friends didn't see troubles between pair but two said Watts was cheating

Shanann's family, in the meantime, have been left outraged by the investigation. They say police 'dragged their heels' in taking Christopher into custody.

'The cops drug their feet. He was the only one with them and backed his truck into the garage,' Shanann's brother Frankie Rzucek fumed on social media on Thursday

'Doesn't take a genius to know who was suspect. My blood is boiling.'

I'd rather the police take their time, get their evidence so that he doesn't get off on a technicality because the cops rushed it. It's not like he was a danger to the community or was going to run off, if he was going to run, he would have run immediately afterwards.

Asshole.

So she was leaving and rumours have him roving dipping his wick.
Killing became an option because of what...alimony and child support?
Put him in a jail cell with the angriest inmate around.
Well it is much easier to impress the ladies if you have the money to wine and dine.

Colorado prosecutors face Monday deadline to file charges against husband in deaths of wife, daughters

Authorities in Colorado face a Monday afternoon deadline to file formal criminal charges against Chris Watts, who is suspected of killing his pregnant wife, Shanann Watts, and their two young daughters.

Chris Watts, 33, was arrested last week on suspicion of three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of tampering with a human body, police said. He is being held in the Weld County Jail without bond, with his next court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.

Under Colorado law, prosecutors must file charges against Watts Monday or let him go.

Shanann Watts, 34, and daughters, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3, were reported missing Monday from their home in Frederick, a town of about 8,600 people 30 miles north of Denver.

Their bodies were found Thursday at the site of a petroleum and natural gas company where Chris Watts had worked, authorities said.

Prosecutors have not provided a motive in the killings. A judge sealed the arrest affidavit, which might provide information about why Chris Watts was arrested and other details.

Autopsy results have not been released, but documents filed Friday in Chris Watts' arrest reveal some of the victims may have been strangled, along with other grim details.

Chris Watts' attorneys asked a court Friday to require pathologists to swab the little girls' necks and hands for DNA, court filings show. The judge denied that request, saying he would not tell the coroner how to do his job.

In a second motion, obtained by CNN affiliate KDVR, defense attorneys asked the court to compel the coroner's office to look for DNA under the mother's fingernails and on her hands. It's not immediately known if the judge ruled on that motion.

In a Monday morning interview on ABC's "Good Morning America," friend Nicole Atkinson said she dropped Shanann off at home about 2 a.m. Monday, August 13, after they finished a business trip. "She went inside, turned around and waved at me and shut the door,"

Atkinson said. Shanann didn't return calls later that day and missed a medical appointment at which she was expected to hear her unborn child's heartbeat, Atkinson said.

Shanann didn't return calls later that day and missed a medical appointment at which she was expected to hear her unborn child's heartbeat, Atkinson said Shanann was 15 weeks pregnant.

It's official.
He's been charged.
Of course we knew this was coming... And so did he. Bastard.

A Colorado man was charged Monday with first-degree murder in the killings of his pregnant wife and their two young daughters, prosecutors said.

Chris Watts is being held in the deaths of Shanann Watts, 34, and daughters Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3. Two additional first-degree murder charges accuse him of causing the death of a child under age 12.

Watts also faces three counts of tampering with a body, and a count of first-degree unlawful termination of a pregnancy, Weld County District Attorney Michael J. Rourke told reporters.

He claims she killed the girls after he told her he was having an affair and then he killed her in a fit of rage. This man is subhuman.

This is only a rumor at this point but I've heard that the girls were put in the oil to conceal the fact that they were killed much earlier than the wife. This case it getting kind of crazy at this point. I'd assume they could possibly do some type of DNA testing on the girls necks to see who strangled them. If it was proven it was the wife I'm not sure how that would affect the case against the husband, as he still would be responsible for killer her (and possibly the fetus....not sure with the laws in CO.).
