'He feels like no one understands him': Triple murder suspect Chris Watts is on suicide watch ahead of trial for killing his pregnant wife and two daughters and is 'frustrated that people think he is a monster'
  • Chris Watts recently learned his murder case has become international news
  • Watts, 33, was having an affair when he allegedly killed his wife and two kids
  • One source said he's very 'frustrated' and thought his case was only local news
  • Believes nobody knows what 'really' happened the night of the horrific murders
  • Watts allegedly strangled Shanann, 34, to death and killed Bella, 4, Celeste, 3
  • He claims he only killed Shanann after watching her strangle their daughters
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6212725/Chris-Watts-frustrated-people-think-monster.html

... Watts said that after he told his wife he wanted to separate, he watched as she strangled Celeste while Bella was 'blue', her lifeless body in a bed nearby ...
So, he was incapable of stopping his wife from strangling his daughters as he watched, which had to take quite some time, but somehow had the ability to strangle her right afterwards?

So, he was incapable of stopping his wife from strangling his daughters as he watched, which had to take quite some time, but somehow had the ability to strangle her right afterwards?

That's exactly what I was thinking. If someone was strangling one of my kids you can sure as shit believe I would put a quick stop to it!

Also this is buried towards the end of the story:
Watts is also currently objecting to demands from the prosecution to turn over prints from his hands and feet.
He is arguing that the prosecution has not stated why they need the prints and thus he cannot make out the 'government's need' for such evidence.

he cannot make out the 'government's need' for such evidence.

He thinks he's funny, don't he? Acting like he's a wronged man for trying to protect his children by killing his pregnant wife so he can't figure out why they need anything from him. I'm sure a warrant won't be too hard to get.

Autopsy reports for Chris Watts' wife Shanann and daughters turned over to court after almost two months amid concerns there may not be enough DNA evidence for murder conviction
  • A notice filed on Monday in Weld County District Court revealed that the coroner had completed autopsy reports for Shanann, Bella and Celeste Watts
  • The three were likely killed on August 12 or 13, meaning that the coroner spent close to two months examining the three before making a conclusion
  • What is in the report remains a secret however, and will be kept under seal at the request of the prosecution
  • There may not be enough DNA evidence to convict Chris Watts in the murder of his daughters as their bodies were submerged in an oil tank for three days

BASTARD!

I really truly hope that is wrong. Or that just the murder of the wife will get him, at least, life without parole, but those babies, who else would have had the opportunity to do anything to them, only "daddy".

Chris Watts pleaded guilty Tuesday to killing his pregnant wife and two daughters in Frederick, Colo. in August in a deal that will allow him to avoid the death penalty.

Watts, 33, appeared in court Tuesday for a status hearing two weeks before he was set to appear at a Nov. 19 status conference in the case.
He pleaded guilty to all nine counts he was originally charged with in August: three counts of first-degree murder after deliberation, two counts of first-degree murder – victim under 12/position of trust, one count of first-degree unlawful termination of a pregnancy, and three counts of tampering with a deceased human body.

Prosecutors said they believed Watts killed the three inside the family’s home in Frederick. The affidavit released in August confirmed details Denver7 had previously reported, citing high-ranking sources, that Shanann’s body was buried in a shallow grave at the site and that the bodies of Celeste and Bella were put inside of oil and gas tanks.

“We believe that we have a partial motive,” Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke told reporters later Tuesday, after Chris, 33, pleaded guilty to nine charges including first-degree murder.

“I’m not sure if it’s the entirety of the motive, but I will be happy to comment on that following sentencing,” Rourke said.
He stressed that to say more, with the sentencing nearly two weeks away, would be to reveal too much of what investigators had learned.

“Ask me again [on] … the day after, the day of sentencing,” he said. “I will be happy to answer that question. At this point, that’s getting a little too far into the investigation at least as we sit right now.”

Those who knew the Watts family have described a seemingly happy marriage possibly beset by rising tension, and his infidelity has drawn scrutiny: Authorities have said Chris was cheating with a co-worker when he murdered 34-year-old Shan’ann, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3.

A source close the investigation previously told PEOPLE that Chris has had relationships with both men and women outside of his marriage

What was the motive

What was the motive
He wanted out. Period. Too dumb to just divorce her. He wrapped his hands around his children's throats and watched them die. Then he layed in wait for their Mother. I hope someone ass rapes him in jail with his own cock. Oh and I feel like he was molesting those kids. At least little CeeCee. He's a terrible person and this story got to me. Badly.

The parents of Chris Watts have finally broken their silence just a week after their son pleaded guilty to murdering his pregnant wife and their two children.

Ronnie and Cynthia Watts said their son isn't a 'sociopath' despite him telling them that he killed his 34-year-old wife, Shanann.

'I know he confessed, but he was railroaded into it,' Cynthia told the Denver Post on Monday.

Chris Watts, of Colorado, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to killing Shanann and their two daughters Bella, four, and three-year-old Celeste in August after striking a deal with prosecutors.

That means the 33-year-old will not face the death penalty, but his mother says she told him not to confess to something he didn't do.

'I want him to take back the plea deal,' she said, adding that she believes the story her son told his father, that he killed his wife after he discovered Shanann had strangled their daughters to death, according to the Post.

Cynthia also told ABC 7 Denver that she believes the lawyers were only thinking about saving her son's life.

But to her saving his life and life in prison are no different.

'He's going to die in prison. I just want him to fight. I don't want him to take this plea deal. I want him to plead not guilty to the children,' she told the station.

'If he didn't kill the children, I want him to face that and let them prove it,' Ronnie also told the station.

Let's face it you stupid fucking mother, your son is defective. After reading you and Dads interview I get it. You're defective too. He killed your beautiful grandchildren first and then waited for his wife to get home and promptly killed her. The real reason Shanann ended up in a shallow grave is well dead weight is dead weight. He couldn't haul the children's mother up all those stairs to toss her in with her children. He tossed your grandbabies into an oil tank. Honestly how do you parents sleep at night with that vision. Have you looked at your sons fem hands and pictured him strangling the life out of his children. I have. Have you thought of those babies staring dad dead in the eyes as he chocked the life out of them? I have. How long after Shanann died did Nico finally sucomb and die? I thought too much about it. What made your douchebag son suddenly snap. Sex. Lots of it. Apparently little Chris liked men and women. I think he was molesting his kids as well. Go back GMA and watch the videos. Cece seems a bit sexualized. I'd be happy to be wrong about that, but I've been reading here far too many years. Sonny Boy Chris murdered your gkuds with his bare hands. Visualize that and go get yourself a good night's sleep. I dare ya.

Damn ... i wonder if he loves the kid. That would be awful for everyone if he did. Not saying she isn't a bit wreckless ... just saying damn,
[automerge]1542225486[/automerge]
Oh wow ... I don't know if its even possible, but could he with draw his guilty plea, take it to trial and then get convicted twice ... and if he could would he ... does he hate his mom that much ? He should just break moms heart one more time and tell her he did it and that he's sorry, instead of making her live through something like that.

'He lied about everything': Chris Watts' mistress breaks her silence to reveal the 'emotionless' father sent a chilling text message after he murdered his pregnant wife and two daughters saying they were 'gone'
  • Nichol Kessinger had been dating Chris Watts for two months before he killed his pregnant wife Shanann and daughters - Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3
  • She said Watts texted her on August 13 to say his family had gone missing after a play date in Frederick, Colorado
  • Kessinger said Watts seemed calm and emotionless about their disappearance
  • She said Watts told her when they first met that he was finalizing his divorce
  • Kessinger only found out from news reports that he was still married to his wife
  • She contacted authorities two days after they went missing to tell them about their affair and the lies that he told her

Good for her, for not believing what he was telling her and rightly feeling that something was wrong.

I hope she becomes the star witness for the prosecution.

NICHOL KESSINGER

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/chris-watts-mistress-breaks-silence-140518905.html

Earlier this week, Shan’ann Watts’ family issued a statement in response to claims by Watts’ family that the couple had a stormy relationship, describing Shan’ann as “a faithful wife, and the most gentle and loving mother in the world to her children Bella, Celeste, and Nico [her unborn child],” according to local TV station KMGH.

The family slammed Watts’ parents claims as “vicious, grotesque and utterly false.”

Suspicious, Kessinger said she called the Weld County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 15 to tell them what she knew. She met with FBI investigators the next day. “I just wanted to help,” she said. “With a pregnant woman and two children missing, I was going to do anything that I could.”

She told The Denver Post she has never doubted that Watts killed his family. “I don’t think there is a logical explanation for what he did,” Kessinger said. “It’s a senseless act, and it’s horrific.”
[automerge]1542395073[/automerge]
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/despite-plea-chris-watts-apos-212751550.html

In an earlier interview with local station KMGH, Cindy Watts expressed concern for how her triple-murderer son would fare in prison.

He’s going to die in prison,” she said in an interview alongside Chris’ father, Ronnie, with local Denver ABC affiliate KMGH. (Different excerpts from the interview were published by other ABC affiliates.)

“There’s no telling what would be done to him in prison. I just want him to fight,” she added.

In the KMGH interview, Watts’ parents claimed he was in an abusive relationship with Shan’ann. They claimed Watts changed when he married her and that Shan’ann isolated Watts from his family.

“It was a very hard relationship,” Cindy Watts said. “It was a very hard relationship with her as far as I’m concerned. I couldn’t do anything right.”

Just for full disclosure: My first name is Cindy and my oldest son is Christopher but I am absolutely not this stupid bitch.

Also the fact that she couldn't do anything right doesn't matter she is not living in their marraige, which may have been the biggst problem between them, Mama couldn't separate from her precious son and she blamed Sha'nan for it.

And, at this point, who gives a fuck how Chris(I killed my entire family) Watts gets along in prison, it just does not matter to me, and I'm sure not to 98% of the civilized world, either.

5 LIFE SENTENCES WITH NO POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE. PLUS 48 YEARS.

HOPE HE ROTS
GREELEY, Colo. – Chris Watts was sentenced Monday to three consecutive terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole for killing his pregnant wife Shanann and their two young daughters, Bella and Celeste, after an emotional hearing that brought to an end a saga that has roiled Colorado and the nation.

Watts, 33, received life in prison without the possibility of parole, which will run consecutively, for three counts of first-degree murder for the killings of Shanann, Celeste and Bella.

He also received two more concurrent life sentences for two other murder charges – first-degree murder by a person in a position of trust – in the killings of Bella and Celeste.

Judge Marcelo Kopcow also sentenced Watts to 48 years, which will run consecutively to the other sentences, for the unlawful termination of a pregnancy charge, which came because Shanann was pregnant with a child, whom family members called “Nico.”

Finally, Watts received 12-year sentences for three separate counts of tampering with a deceased human body, which will run consecutively to the other sentences as well.

Judge Kopcow handed down the sentences after an emotional hearing in which Shanann’s parents and brother both testified and called Watts a “monster.” Watts’ parents also testified, saying they had not received all the information about their son’s plea deal before they spoke to media, including Denver7.

Shanann’s father, Frank Rzucek, told Watts and the courtroom that he was “heartless” and “evil” and that he took Shanann, Bella and Celeste “out like trash.”

“You don’t know what love is because if you did, you would not have killed them, you monster,” Rzucek told Watts, who stared downward throughout the hearing.

Rzucek told Watts that “prison is too good for you” and that he hoped the sees his wife and daughters when he tries to sleep at night.

A family representative spoke on behalf of Shanann’s brother, Frankie Rzucek Jr., who said that Watts wasn’t worth the time it took to put pen to paper and that he prayed Watts would “never have a moment’s rest.”

Shanann’s mother, Sandra Rzucek, thanked law enforcement and prosecutors for their “exceptional work” on the case and after admonishing Watts for breaking theirs and Shanann’s trust, acknowledged that she and the rest of the family had asked prosecutors not to seek the death penalty for Watts – a request that was granted by prosecutors.

“I didn’t want death for you,” Sandra said. “Your life is between you and God now, and I pray that he has mercy on you.”

19th Judicial District Attorney Michael Rourke told the court of new details in the case that had not been publicly released before in attempting to show the court how Watts, 33, “totally and deliberately ended four lives” in a calculated manner.

He noted that Watts had smothered both 3-year-old Celeste and 4-year-old Bella, and that Bella had fought back against him. He said that he didn’t think Watts would ever tell the truth about what truly happened but that they had enough information to piece the case together.

After killing all three, Rourke said, Watts planned which oil and gas site he would dump their bodies at. Rourke said “Bella and Celeste were thrown away” and put in different crude oil tanks so they could not be together even in death. Rourke also noted that Watts had to shove his daughter’s bodies into the tanks and that investigators found scratch marks on one of the girl’s bodies and tufts of hair on the opening to one of the oil tanks – all in an attempt to show the court how careless Watts was in his actions.

“Prison for the remainder of his life is exactly where he belongs for murdering his entire family,” Rourke told the judge before the final sentences were handed down.

That Judge got it, he really, really got it! Most fabulous prison sentence ever!

I hope he has nightmares every time he lays his head on his prison cot, but he won't, he's too cold and heartless.

Marital woes apparent in phone and text messages between Shanann and Christopher Watts ahead of brutal murders

1542989649552.webp
Nov. 22--Just months before Christopher Watts' killed his family and dumped their bodies, his wife recorded a heartfelt video of her surprising him with news of her third pregnancy.

Shanann Watts was sporting a shirt with the words "Oops... we did it again," when her husband arrived home the evening of May 29, according to documents obtained by CBS Denver in response to a Colorado Criminal Justice records request. Video recorded of the moment reportedly sees Watts looking confused before he realizes the implications of her tee and breaks out into a grin.

"I guess when you want to, it happens -- wow," he tells her after an embrace.

Watts killed his wife and their two daughters, Celeste and Bella, in August -- a little more than two months after she surprised him with her pregnancy news in the kitchen of their home. He made a desperate plea for their safe return on local news outlets, but was arrested just days later.

He submitted to the Frederick Police for a polygraph test, during which investigators determined he was not being truthful with them. When confronted about his deception, Watts confessed to killing his wife but tried to blame her for the deaths of their children.

Watts earlier this month pleaded guilty to the nine charges he faced, including five counts of first-degree murder, two counts of murdering a child, one count of unlawful termination of a pregnancy and three counts of tampering with a deceased human body. On Monday, he was sentenced to life behind bars without possibility of parole.

In the weeks after the gleeful pregnancy video was recorded, problems seem to crop up quickly -- their subsequent phone exchanges a far cry from the hugging couple eager to welcome another child into the world.

Shanann Watts in July expressed her frustration with her in-laws and discussed what seemed to be enduring marital problems with Watts, according to CBS Denver.

"I try to give you space, but while you are working and living the bachelor life I'm carrying our 3rd and fighting with our two kids daily and trying to work and make money," she texted him.

"It's not hard texting love you and miss you. If you don't mean it then I get it, but we need to talk. I kept looking at my phone all night and no response from you. Like seriously! We didn't just start dating yesterday! We've been together for 8 years and have 2.5 kids together!"

The night of August 5, just days before she was murdered, Shanann offered a desperate plea to her husband, who at the time was reportedly having an affair with a colleague.

"I missed everything about you. I couldn't wait to touch you, hold you, kiss you, make love to you, smell you, laugh with you," she wrote. "I couldn't wait to celebrate 8 years with you... If you are done, don't love me, don't want to work this out, not happy anymore and only staying because of the kids, I NEED you to tell me."

She then asked whether he would stay if they didn't have kids before firing off a text, wondering how Watts could sleep.

"I just don't get it. You don't fall out of love in 5 weeks," she texted. "How can you sleep? Our marriage is crumbling in front of us and you can sleep."

Shanann Watts was 15 weeks pregnant when her body was discovered in August on the property of one of Colorado's largest oil and gas drillers, where her husband previously worked. The bodies of 3-year-old Bella and 4-year-old Celeste meanwhile were found submerged inside "mostly full" oil and gas tanks on the property.

'How can you sleep?' Shocking texts reveal US killer father Chris Watts' crumbling marriage as his mistress argues money issues were his motive for killing wife and daughters and NOT his desire to start a new life with her
  • Christopher Lee Watts, 33, was sentenced to life in prison Monday in Colorado
  • More than 2,000 pages of investigator reports in the case have been released
  • Watts killed his pregnant wife Shanann and their two daughters in August
  • Texts show their relationship crumbled during her six-week trip with girls
  • Staying with the in-laws in North Carolina, Shanann felt Watts grew distant
  • Meanwhile he was carrying on with mistress Nicole Kessinger back home
  • She told investigators that money issues probably drove him to kill his family
  • But prosecutors argue the motive was his desire to start fresh with new woman

Watts’ parents also testified, saying they had not received all the information about their son’s plea deal before they spoke to media, including Denver7.

Does that now mean they have second thoughts about his innocence after hearing additional details of the crime in court?

Yeah, his mother, particularly, sounds like she's an enabler. Believing her son could never do any wrong, must have been Shan'ann who was the problem.

Money makes sense to me. Sounds like he wanted nothing to do with the mariage, she was the only one trying to fix it or desiring to, even gave him an easy way out with thhat reported message. He could have left her for another woman at any point, but then there would be child support and alimony. That's what it came down to. Def think money was the primary motivator here.

I don't think it was money. I think he just fucking snapped. As I see the timeline it sure appears he killed his two girls while they wife was away. One would have be very cold hearted to just smother your baby girls thinking "there's child support I don't have to pay". I think he wanted out and after the kids were gone for a full month I bet they got in a fight, wouldn't go to asleep, etc. and he snapped and killed them, then therefore had to kill their mom when she came back.

His parents enabled all of this. I'm going to bet he was an only child. It was always all about him. His mom doesn't even seem to be very upset that her grandkids are dead, she's still mainly worried about how dear son will be treated in prison.
