Six people are facing multiple charges for allegedly kidnapping a man and holding him captive in an incident police described as essentially torture.
13 Action News first reported the arrests on March 22, but now we’re learning how the people are connected and what led police to find the victim. Police arrested the following people for the alleged kidnapping and assault: Aaron Bradshaw, 49, Austin Bradshaw, 23, David Cessna, 26, Martina Jones, 28, Michael Esqueda, 28, and Chance Johnston, 27.

Charging documents said the group held a 26-year-old man captive for about a week. During that time, they allegedly beat him with a baseball bat, made him stand for extended periods of time, and only allowed him to eat and drink once a day. The victim only slept for about 10 hours during a seven day stretch.

“He was being essentially tortured, assaulted, over the time frame of a week,” Maumee Chief of Police Josh Sprow told 13 Action News. “His injuries were results of being struck with a baseball bat, struck with fists, elbows, stomping on him when he was on the ground -- which over time resulted in multiple fractured bones.”
Sprow told 13 Action News that Martina Jones was the one calling the shots in the kidnapping and assault -- ordering the group to beat the victim. Investigators determined she had a romantic relationship with the other suspects, and had multiple children by them.

The chief went on to say that the suspects would let the victim out on occasion, but that’s what eventually led police to catch the six people.
“Friday he was allowed to leave the room to go to Speedway,” Sprow said. “When he was there he made contact with an individual, who got in contact with the victims mother. When she was contacted by this literally a stranger -- she knew something was up.”

The 26-year-old’s mother raced to the Red Roof Inn on South Reynolds Road to help her son. Maumee Police were called out to the hotel for a report of a disturbance. Police obtained warrants and began watching the hotel, later arresting the six defendants.

What the fuck?

That Martina Jones must have one magic pussy to get 5 dudes to be her flying monkeys.
Impossible. Would you let your junk touch her junk? Wouldn't you be afraid it would get lost in there, with all the other (blergh!) deposits that her flying monkeys left? I'mm a need a thorough de-lousing now and some brain bleach for having even thought this post up... :bigtears:

I saw those pictures and thought, "But that's 6 dudes. Some really ugly dudes, too. Where's the chick?"
Then I read the names. Oops.
Imagine not just hitting that, but risking felonies for it! My goodness. Drugs have to be involved, right? Hittin' Martina's poon and letting the victim go out sometimes? Gotta be drugs. I hope. Please let it be drugs.

Same... I literally had to zoom in on the photo to be sure.

That perp lineup pictured above would likely be the worst death metal band in world history.

Here's "Bind Torture Kill" by Suffocation

I listened to a lot of Suffocation in high school! Went into the army in 1996 and talked to a dude who was amazed that a female listened to them or even heard of them. Still a metal head to this day.

A plus-sized woman, who had six polyamorous lovers, was sentenced to 22 years in prison for ordering the assault of one of her boyfriends in Ohio.
Martina Esqueda, 29, of Toledo, was sentenced in a Lucas County court on Thursday for being the ringleader behind the assault of Austyn McClellan.

Esqueda, her husband, Michael Esqueda, and five of her boyfriends - McCellan, Aaron and Austin Bradshaw, Chance Johnston, and David Cessna – all lived together in a house in Toledo.
The 29-year-old ordered her boyfriends to take McCellan to the Red Roof Inn in Maumee, where they beat him with fists and baseball bats for 10 days. He suffered multiple broken bones and was sleep and food-deprived, the Toledo Blade reported.

Esqueda was allegedly the mastermind behind the entire operation, giving direct orders to her boyfriends to beat and assault the victim, according to police.
She was sentenced to eight years for first-degree kidnapping and seven years each for the two felony counts of second-degree assault, which will be served consecutively.
McCellan told police that the horrific ordeal began after a dog fight broke out at Esqueda's home.

When he and the 29-year-old attempted to break up the brawl, she suffered a broken arm in the chaos.

Instead of explaining what truly happened, Esqueda allegedly falsely blamed McCellan of breaking her arm, according to police reports.
This lie allegedly sparked her lovers' brutal revenge.
McCellan was rescued only when his captors allowed him a brief trip to a nearby Speedway convenience store on March 21, 2025, as reported by FOX 8.

During the moment of freedom, he managed to make contact with someone, who then alerted his mother.

His mother immediately rushed to the Red Roof Inn to rescue her son, and police were called to the scene.
McCellan was rushed to the hospital with injuries covering his entire body.
The victim said in a letter read in court on Thursday that he still suffered from nightmares about the ordeal.

'None of this would have happened had you not been the ringleader or mastermind behind every bad thing that happened to me,' he wrote, according to The Blade.

He said he was forced to stay in the home and 'never did anything to any of them or the animals living in the house.'
Esqueda's attorney argued the obese woman had been sexµally abused as a child and spent her late teens in foster care, giving her an inability to love.

'She does not understand love, because she has never felt it,' Attorney Morgan Isenberg said.

'The people who were supposed to love her, supposed to support her, supposed to help her grow, they broke her.'
In a statement to the court, Esqueda admitted to McCellan that she 'should have been a friend when you needed me.'

'Instead of knocking you down when you were already down,' she said, according to The Blade.

He has cleaned up and got a good de-lousing.
