Kelly Rae Smith was sentenced to 52 years in prison after admitting to sexually assaulting a toddler and a dog.
Following her guilty pleas, to four counts of sexual assault against a child, three counts of attempted sexual exploitation of a child and one count of bestiality,

Smith was handed a prison sentence that will not allow her to be released before 2077, according to AZFamily, Fox 10 and KTAR.

The outlets reported, citing the Yavapai County Attorney, that Smith's plea agreement requires that she serve every day of her 52-year sentence. She has been given credit for 10 months time served following her arrest in May 2025.
Prosecutors said Smith was reported to authorities by an acquaintance who claimed the defendant had made online comments about molesting children's she'd babysat, according to AZFamily.

The same acquaintance, per the outlet, also reported having seen a video of Smith engaging in sexual acts with a dog.

AZFamily further reported that prosecutors said detectives later discovered a video of Smith sexually assaulting the toddler and another involving bestiality.

i don't know her age but having to serve 52 years in full is a life sentence w.o. possibility of parole :) now i wish all other judges would take a page off that judge, no plead deals, no probation, just go to jail for so many years and you have to serve every year no early release nothing.... the law is suppose to be the voice of those who have no voice , murder victims, children , elderlies, adults with disabilities, and animals..... but, except for a very few judges, it seems the law coddles the criminals and the victims are re-victimized :(
