A teenager who was accused of killing his mother’s cat last year is now suspected of murdering a woman. Cohen Heath, 19, is charged with first degree murder in the death of 44-year-old Bridget Kenner in Colorado Springs.

Police were asked to check on Kenner last week and found her dead inside her home on the northeast side of the city.

Police arrested Heath and another teen — a 16 year old. Heath was booked into the El Paso County Jail and the juvenile was booked into the Spring Creek Youth Services Center. Both suspects are residents of Colorado Springs.

Last October, Heath was charged aggravated cruelty to animals. KKTV reported that Heath was accused of brutally killing and mutilating his mother’s cat — and putting the remains in a paper gift bag.

“He allegedly told investigators he was on meth and was hearing voices in his head. Those voices told him he had to kill something,” KKTV reported. “Arrest papers go on to say Heath wanted to kill his friend who was sleeping over at his house and then his mom. Allegedly he decided the cat would be easier to kill.”

According to arrest records, Heath told investigators he thought it was “kind of funny” to watch his mother and a friend look for the cat when he allegedly knew it was dead.

Details about Kenner’s death haven’t been released.

Heath is currently being held without bond for Kenner's death.

The other suspect, a 16-year-old juvenile, is the daughter of the victim, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by KRDO.

Homicide detectives began investigating and got evidence that led to the arrests of 19-year-old Cohen "Vinn" Heath and 16-year-old Emma Kenner.

The victim was identified as Bridget Kenner of Colorado Springs.

Officers found Kenner nude in the living room with multiple puncture wounds, and they also found a bloody knife in the kitchen along with bloody clothes in the laundry room in the basement.

Police learned from Kenner's boyfriend that she lived alone with her daughter, Emma.

Police later learned that Emma identifies as a male and calls himself Kenny. At the same time, Cohen identifies as a woman and calls herself Vinn. The two were romantically linked.

Police found Kenny and Vinn at a 7-Eleven about a mile away from the crime scene, and they were taken into custody for questioning.

During the questioning, Kenny had a guardian and biological parent in the room for an interview. When an officer left the room, a recording caught Kenny saying he knew that Bridget was the victim and that she had been stabbed to death, despite police not mentioning anything about a stabbing.

Police also noticed that Kenny had recent wounds that indicated self-harm.

Vinn was interviewed by police and said she was asleep in Kenny's room in the basement when she was woken up by Kenner screaming. Vinn told police that she could hear Kenner pleading with Kenny not to kill her, but Vinn hid in the basement instead of going upstairs.

Vinn told police that Kenner caught Kenny trying to cut himself, and that led to an argument, which escalated to the stabbing. Vinn told police he saw Kenner's body and that Kenny began wiping down doorknobs and counters but eventually gave up and covered Kenner with a blanket. Vinn helped Kenny leave because of someone at the front door, presumably Kenner's boyfriend.

Police learned that the pair planned on leaving town to possibly go to Texas.

Someone doesn't like pussy.
It's very nuanced.

Emma Kenner, a transman who goes by "Kenny," is 16-year-old juvenile and the child of the murder victim, Bridget Kenner, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by KRDO.

Kenner's suspected accomplice in the murder is a transwoman called Vinn Elise Heath, whose legal name is Cohen Heath.

Jesus, so the girl is a guy and the guy is a girl

What kind of buffalo bill, silence of the lamb shit is this? Trannies are soooooooo fucking creepy!

The article is very irritating and hard to follow. I dont care what the suspects wish to be called, the news media is not their friend, they have no obligation to call them anything but their legal names. That would be more accurate to the truth anyways. Going by the mughsot, this is yet another incredibly, absurdly lazy transgendered person who makes literally no effort whatsoever at living as their chosen gender. Unshaven, long hair that is not styled in a feminine manner at all, no makeup, no maintaining of the eyebrows or anything else to achieve a more feminine aesthetic, i could go on and on and on. All the more reason not to go out of ones way to indulge the name nonsense. So fucking stupid.

It's not like were dealing with folks that have fully transitioned and have been living as this other identity for years. It's a 16 year old and a 19 year old, prob been at it for 6 months tops. Give me a fucking break.

Colorado will take it easy on them, just like the tranny school shooters from last year.

16 year old is both a female(genetically) and young. Other scumbag has an argument they didnt evne participate in the actual violence itself, and is both young and white.

A teenager was sentenced Friday for the murder of their mother in the spring of 2020. Emma "Kenny" Kenner, who was 16 at the time of the murder, was sentenced to 40 years in the Department of Corrections with 5 years mandatory parole.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by KRDO, officers were initially called to their Banning Lewis Ranch home for a welfare check. A coworker called the police when Bridget Kenner didn't show up for work.

When police entered the home, they found her nude in the living room with multiple puncture wounds. They also found a bloody knife in the kitchen and bloody clothes in the laundry room.

Police found the victim's daughter and the other suspect, Cohen "Vinn" Heath, at a 7-Eleven roughly a mile away. According to police, Kenner identifies as a male and calls himself Kenny. Heath identifies as a woman.

During questioning, Kenner admitted that he knew Bridget was stabbed to death. However, the police did not mention the stabbing.

While interviewing Heath, she told police she woke up to Bridget screaming and pleading with Kenner to not kill her. According to police, Heath said she hid in the basement instead of going upstairs. According to the affidavit, Heath went on to tell police Bridget had caught Kenner trying to cut himself. That led to an argument, which escalated into the stabbing.

According to police, Heath had been arrested for aggravated cruelty to animals months before the murder after she brutally killed her mother's cat. During that 2019 incident, Heath told police she thought about killing a friend staying at their house and her mother before eventually killing the cat.

The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region Animal Law Enforcement division said Heath kept the mutilated body of the cat as a "memento."

Emma “Kenny” Kenner of Colorado Springs was 16 years old when she stabbed her mother to death in the spring of 2020. Emma is biologically female, but identifies as a boy.
Kenner was romantically involved with a 19-year-old biological male who identifies as a woman named Cohen “Vinn” Heath, who was also arrested as a suspect in the killing. Heath identifies as transgender and is referred to by "she/her" pronouns in local news reports. Heath had previously been arrested months before the murder for animal cruelty after he stabbed his mother's cat, killing the pet and keeping the mutilated body as a "memento."
During the 2019 animal cruelty incident, Heath told police he commited the crime “because it would be easier” than killing his own mother.
According to the 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office, Heath’s trial is set for March 1, 2022.

@cubby

And these turd nuggets can now get their sex reassignment surgeries on the dime of the tax payers.

I wish laws would be put in place that disallows incarcerated people to have elective surgeries.

Even if a psychiatrist or psychologist says it is necessary for the well being of the inmate it should not be paid for by the state.

They should also be placed by their genitalia not their feelings.

In a move which he said wasn’t required in the agreement, Kenner testified Tuesday in Heath’s trial, largely laying blame for the idea of the murder on Heath. The killing, Kenner said, was partly motivated by a loose plan to sell his mother’s belongings and make off to Texas.
“I didn’t want to, but I knew it would make Vinn happy, so that’s what I cared about,” Kenner testified, adding he felt he was in love with Heath at the time and that she told Kenner if he did it, “she would be proud of me.”
Kenner said Heath pushed him to commit the murder, which he said was first brought up by Heath around the beginning of April 2020, by getting upset and ignoring Kenner when he failed to follow through, setting deadlines, and telling him he would “be a man” if he did it.
“I thought Vinn was going to leave,” Kenner said about the consequences he thought he would have faced if he hadn’t killed his mother.
Kenner added that he told Heath to “put it all on me,” believing he would face the consequences of a juvenile and that Heath, then 19, could be treated as an adult. Kenner was sentenced on Jan. 7, two weeks after his 18th birthday, according to court records.
After the murder, Kenner said Heath went through his mother’s things, saying she took clothes and that he later recognized some of his mother’s rings in photographs from when they were detained later that day near a 7-Eleven. Kenner added that Heath used several items from around the house to and cover and conceal Bridget Kenner’s body.

Kenner also said that shortly after his mother died, Heath asked for permission to engage in necrophilia, which Kenner said he filmed.
Defense attorney Jennifer Cox grilled Kenner about alleged conversations about necrophilia with unidentified individuals on a chat application known as Discord, which Kenner said he didn’t think he participated in, but also said that was the humor he had with those individuals and that the comments weren’t “real.”

They should have gotten the same exact sentence. Kenner is just as guilty.
