The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has announced the sentencing for a man who offered images of children being sexually exploited as payment to sexually abuse two children.
Prosecutors announced that Christopher Delaney was sentenced this week to 28 years in prison for sexual exploitation of a minor charge.
According to authorities, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip about comments Delaney made on a dating app known as Sniffies. A Chandler police detective then posed as the parent of a 7-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl and began chatting with Delaney.
Continue readingDuring those conversations, officials said that Delaney talked about how he wanted to abuse the two children, drug them and tie them up. In exchange, he would pay with a flash drive full of child pornography.
At the time, Delaney said he was on probation and wearing an ankle monitor, so he needed to have the children brought to him. The undercover detective agreed, and when he arrived, Delaney reportedly was carrying a “rape kit,” containing zip ties, melatonin, whiskey and weed pens.
He was also found with a flash drive with more than 100 illegal files, according to authorities.
