Sentenced: Child Accidentally Shot By Mother During An Argument Between Her Parents Over Dad's Porn

Authorities in North Charleston say a child was accidentally shot in the arm during an argument between her parents over porn.

An incident report revealed that on Tuesday evening, Nakia Barrow and the father of the 7-year-old victim were arguing when a firearm went off.

Authorities were told the altercation was over pornography Barrow had found on the man's phone.

During the incident, officials learned Barrow pointed a pistol at him and the weapon discharged, striking the nearby child in the arm. The girl is expected to be OK after a neighbor transported her to an area hospital for treatment.

She was charged with unlawful conduct towards a minor and domestic violence in the first degree.

Barrow told officers that she came out of a bathroom after the fight and saw her daughter bleeding on the bed from a gunshot wound. Police say Barrow asked a neighbor from the hotel where she was staying to give her and her daughter a ride to the emergency room.

When the victim’s father arrived at the hospital, police say they received the information that warranted their arrest of Barrow.

Jail records show Barrow has been booked at the Al Cannon Detention Center and her bond has been set at $125,000.

This is clearly a worse example of what happens when kids are part of domestic arguments; but, regardless of the subject of grievance, this was handled extremely poorly.




Also, that is a very awkward photo at the bottom.
