An eight-year-old Russian girl who ran away from home following an argument with her parents was raped and killed after being picked up by a married couple in their car, Russian police have said.

More than 500 people volunteered to search for missing Vika Teplyakova after she was seen in for a final time in CCTV footage walking alone along a road.

Wearing a T-shirt and blue shorts, the girl was reportedly trying to reach her friends in the town where the family used to live.

She was missing three days before a 32-year-old woman told police she and her husband had given the child a lift.

The couple were identified as Igor and Kristina Dvornikov, and officers today released pictures of the detained husband and wife suspected of carrying out the horrific crimes.

The man told his wife he would 'attack' the girl and 'the woman did nothing to stop it because she was too scared of him', according to a police source.

The girl was raped and strangled with a plastic bag. She died on Monday, the day she disappeared, said police.

The woman showed police where her body was hidden near a lake, said law enforcement.

Igor Dvornikov initially denied abducting, abusing and killing the girl, but later confessed, according to law enforcement.

That was a fast turn around time from crime to confession.

Glad the wife fessed up, however...
Not sure if she is a victim or not.
I am a skeptic in cases like this ever since Paul Bernardo and wife Karla Homolka did their thing in my community.

My opinion on this depends on when she went to authorities or if she did at all. Really, you can't judge men by their stature. I believe I have mentioned at least once there was a bar maid at my favorite hangout back in the day, and she was deathly afraid of her boyfriend/husband (can't remember). Well, he came in one afternoon and that place fell silent and no one moved. He was all of 5'8" and skinny, but everyone knew what he was capable of.

A different source has more precise details:

It is claimed the couple initially admitted picking up a girl, but gave a description that did not match Vika's.

Kristina Dvornikov initially denied abducting, abusing and killing the girl.

That's the woman denying initially, too. So, co-horts does line up well with this description, not like she did a voluntary visit to the police with the info.

I'd like to find an actual russian source (but english language, obviously) but, it is what it is.

Eeek. He looks like he uses that crokodil drug or whatever that thing is they have in Russia. That poor little girl. I remember getting upset with my parents and “running away”. I’d make it half a block and realize I needed a snack or my feet hurt. It’s just so tragic she intersected with these a holes that particular day.

There's another case similar to this, it's driving me crazy that I can't find it.

The girlfriend in the case I'm thinking of abducted a girl and took her to her boyfriend, who then raped and killed her. Also occurred in a car, maybe? If memory serves she picked her up from or near a school. Fuck I hate my memory (or lack thereof) these days. That one also gave me Homolka vibes.

I think you are talking about Tori Stafford? Where a bitch abducted her from school for her boyfriend and he raped the poor kid when they drove out to a secluded spot (while this girl pleaded for help from the evil bitch) and she just sat there, and then helped bash in her head with a claw hammer and bury her.

I've never even been able to get one of my previous gfs to help me work on a project car with me, or go to a car show. And that guy has an old lady that helped him bash his victim's head in? What the hell is wrong with me, that my relationships don't live up to that of an abducting, raping, murdering couple of pedos?

Fuck, I don't even go HUNTING, because I know I'd be traumatized if I actually shot something!

YESSSS, thank you. I had tried to find it because not being able to remember that poor little girl's name was bothering me, but searching Google for the details I could recall turned up a ton of other sick bitch girlfriends who helped or participated in heinous shit with their boyfriends, and none were right.

It became extremely depressing extremely quickly, so I gave up the search.

A wife who helped kidnap an eight-year-old girl so her monster husband could rape and murder her has been jailed for 15 years.

Kristina Dvornikova, 32, was also convicted by a Russian court of incitement to murder the child, Vika Teplyakova, who had run away from home after an argument with her parents.

The woman’s husband Igor Dvornikov, 46, was convicted of the kidnap, rape, and murder of the girl, and was jailed for life.
