An Ohio man expressed forgiveness for his ex-girlfriend who was arrested for shooting him in the testicle.

Charlie Glenn said he was asked by his ex-girlfriend, 36-year-old Tonya Nester, to take a walk when he realized that she had a pistol on her, according to a report from WXIX.

“She said it was a pellet gun, and I said, ‘Let me see it because I’m not going anywhere with you if you got a gun,’ and she pulled it out and shot me,” Glenn told the news station.
Police say Glenn was able to wrestle the pistol away from Nester despite being injured and bleeding, while family members called 911.

“She pulled the pistol out and shot me, and I proceeded to take the pistol from her at that point and got her down,” Glenn said. “My family members called 911 because I was shot and bleeding.”
Glenn, meanwhile, is back home, expressing that he has no hard feelings toward his ex-girlfriend.

“I still to this day love her,” Glenn said.

Makes sense honestly, all the deep feelings developed for someone you've been so close to don't just disappear in an instant like that. Plus it's like a given that this wasn't the first abusive incident between them; abuse victims essentially have Stockholm Syndrome, they are emotionally attached to these monsters despite the mistreatment.

Nester pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted felonious assault and having weapons under disability.
Butler County Common Pleas Judge Keith Spaeth sentenced Nester to a maximum of six years in jail with 197 days time served in the county jail. She has been in jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond since her arrest.

A 911 caller named Nester as the suspect, telling dispatchers she came to the residence, began arguing with the victim and shot him “between the legs.”

The 39-year-old victim was able to take the gun away from Nester, according to the 911 call, and she fled heading east to Crawford Woods.
