A violent creep sucker-punched a 71-year-old woman, breaking her jaw, while she was walking on a Brooklyn sidewalk, police said.

The suspect walked up to the victim at about 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 and cold-cocked her, according to video released by authorities.

The woman was knocked unconscious and collapsed to the ground, cops said.

She was rushed to the hospital where it was discovered that she suffered a broken jaw and needed stitches to close a wound on her mouth.

The suspect is still at large, police said.

Joan Baptiste was walking home around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 when an unidentified man suddenly punched her in the face, knocking her to the ground, according to authorities.

Baptiste, who's lived in Brooklyn for 26 years, told PIX11 she was walking home from her job as a day care worker when she was attacked.

The grandmother of eleven said she doesn't remember anything from the incident and that she initially thought she fell. A worker from a deli nearby came to help her, she added.

Her attacker fled in an unknown direction, police said.

Baptiste was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in serious but stable condition, where she was treated for a broken jaw and lacerations to the mouth, requiring stitches, the NYPD said.

She said she had surgery last Friday and couldn't eat solid food for two weeks.

Baptiste said she doesn't know if she'll ever go back to work.

Police say the man accused of the heinous sucker punch attack on a 71-year-old in Brooklyn is a man who was out on probation.

NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea announced the arrest of 27-year-old Jaquan Whittle Tuesday evening.

He has one previous arrest for attempted rape in 2017, authorities said.

In that attack, Whittle allegedly followed a 23-year-old woman into the Prospect Park subway station in Brooklyn and began harassing her.

“You look like a ho!” he told her as they were entering the station, police said at the time. “I could rape you right now.”
