A disgraced assistant principal and mother-of-three in South Carolina has pleaded guilty to a harassment charge in Richland County after being accused of having sex with a 19-year-old male student.

Former Airport High School Assistant Principal Dawn Diimmler, 44, who was accused of having sexual intercourse multiple times with a 19-year-old student over the course of three months in 2017, pleaded guilty on December 21 to second-degree harassment.

Diimmler originally faced the charge of sexual battery with a student 18 years of age or older in Richland County.

With her guilty plea, should be sentenced to up to 30 days in jail or a $200 fine.

She also faces sexual charges in Lexington County, where the school is located in the city of Cayce, which are still pending.

Diimmler was also accused of having sex with the student at least on other time, in a hotel room she rented on April 28, 2017 in the Harbison area, according to an incident report recorded by Columbia Police.

Diimmler turned herself in to face charges of sexual battery related to having intercourse with the student in February.

I'm not sure if S.C. has it but most states have a 'person in position of authority' clause or two, so in this case I bet it's the teacher-student dynamic.

There is a state law in SC that makes it illegal for a teacher to have sex with a student, regardless of age.
