28-year-old Destiny Hollowell was charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest after being found passed out on a sidewalk and admitting to officers that she drank alcohol and took an “unknown substance”. She then resisted treatment by medical staff and arrest by police.
On April 14th, officers witnessed Destiny Hollowell passed out on the sidewalk. According to the affidavit, officers noted Destiny was “barely able to speak” and admitted to drinking alcohol and taking an unknown substance.
Officers requested medical assistance from NFD due to Destiny’s level of intoxication. While she was being loaded on a gurney for medical transport, she started shoving NFD staff and resisted attempts to keep her restrained. Officers then told Tiffany that she could either go to the hospital or jail, and she continued to resist attempts for treatment.
NFD chose to return custody of Destiny to police, Tiffany then began resisting their attempts to place her in handcuffs by pulling her hands away and attempting to sit directly in a lane of traffic. According to the affidavit, officers were able to overcome this and place Destiny into custody.
She was later freed on pre-trial release.
