Samantha Overdear was charged with domestic assault on her girlfriend after a night drinking in downtown Nashville that caused marks on her arms, injuries to her legs and left eye, as well as a red circle on her back, per report.
On June 7th, officers received a call regarding a domestic disturbance at the Hyatt Place in downtown Nashville. According to the affidavit, the two parties involved had been drinking together throughout the evening and are in a
romantic relationship. While at a bar, the two were involved in a verbal altercation, which continued when they returned to their hotel room. The argument turned physical when Samantha Overdear allegedly struck girlfriend
Kelby Pearson various times in the arms, then proceeded to kick her in the back. Injuries were also suffered to Pearson’s legs and left eye.
When questioned, Overdear claimed that the altercation did become physical, but denied striking her partner. Notable injuries were observed by law enforcement to Pearson’s legs, arms, and a large red circle on her back from the kick. Officers were able to determine Overdear as the primary aggressor and took her into custody for domestic assault.
