Undocumented immigrants from Romania have been arrested for allegedly leaving their children inside their car while they robbed a Texas supermarket.

Rebeca Nae, 22, and Cristi Iordache, 30, are charged with leaving their young sons, three and four, in their vehicle while they went inside an H-E-B store in Waco and stole thousands of dollars in cosmetics on November 17.

The Romania natives are also suspected in two previous robberies at two other H-E-B stores on November 14, as reported by KWTX.
Investigators say they have security footage of Nae hiding the products in her dress while Iordache used a shopping cart with a child in it to block the camera's view. Employees told police Iordache was acting as a lookout.

Nae and Iordache allegedly stole more than $3,000 on November 17 and over $1,200 on November 14.
Their three boys, aged four, three and one, have been taken by The Texas Department of Family and Protective Service. Officials said they have not been able to locate any relatives to place the children with and noted the kids 'were observed to be dirty, and their clothes smelled of urine.'
According to court documents, the family 'has previous CPS history due to concerns of instability, neglectful supervision, an physical neglect due to the family living out of their car and Iordache being arrested for fictitious license plates.'

The family was investigated in May after police found the parents soliciting money at a McDonald's parking lot.

A social worker found the family was homeless and living in their car, and police found a portable stove top in their car, but no car seats for the kids.

The couple was also found to be using plates registered to another car.
Police noted in their report the family 'smelled strongly of marijuana, and was observed to not have bathed for days.'

Officials found a small amount of the drug and charged Iordache with possession as well as for the fake license plate.

Officials allowed the mother to stay behind with the children.
Nae reportedly told police following their arrest that the family had been in the country for 10 months and that their family worked as Uber drivers in California.

Her husband, on his part, supposedly told police Nae 'lost her mind and stole face creams, but that it was his fault, too.'
