A Reno man is behind bars accused of using social media to lure in a girl under the age of 14 and force sex upon her.
Deputies with the Washoe County Sheriff's Office were called to a commercial business in the early morning hours of March 7 on the report of a rape.
Police met with the victim, who is under the age of 14, and her family members who had driven to the business to call for help.
Police determined Arsh Bhardwaj, 21, made contact with the victim on social media. Detectives said Bhardwaj used Snapchat messaging to lure the girl to a location and then forced her into a car and forced himself on her.
Detectives with a regional unit made contact with Bhardwaj on March 11 and took him into custody on ten felony counts.
