@Alf not sure where I should post this one.

The remains of three young children have been found in a wooded area in Memphis.

In a press release published on Wednesday, April 22, the Memphis Police Department said identification of the children, believed to be between 3 and 7 years old, and the circumstances surrounding their deaths is ongoing.

Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn "CJ" Davis said in a news conference that based on the information they have received from the Medical Examiner’s Office and scientists working on the case, they believe the remains had been there “for a few years.”
Davis added that authorities had reviewed their recent missing persons reports for children but did not find a record matching the profile of the remains.

“We know that this individual was not, or these individuals were not, persons that were reported out of our area," Davis said.
The investigation, which involves 170 personnel, began on March 8, 2026, when officers responded to a suspicious person call in the 3400 block of Ridge Meadow Parkway. The call came from a member of the community who was walking their dog when they “stumbled upon what they thought could have been human remains or remains from an animal and called the police,” Davis continued.

Per the release, responding officers located what appeared to be a human skull at the edge of the woods, and Davis said the investigation determined they were human remains.

My first thought is the Skelton brothers, three little boys, who's "dad" disappeared them years ago.

I hope this discovery brings peace to someone and I hope whoever did this is caught, flayed alive and spends eternity burning in hell.

Lots of people were thinking the same thing, @cubby. Michigan State Police don't think the Skelton brothers have been recovered, though.

Michigan State Police say they do not believe the remains of three young children found in Memphis are those of the missing Skelton brothers.

MSP Lt. Rene Gonzales told 11 Investigates the agency’s cold case unit has been in contact with Memphis Police Department and does not believe the remains belong to Tanner, Alexander and Andrew Skelton based on the timeline of the boys’ 2010 disappearance.

Michigan State Police said they will still provide DNA and dental records to Memphis investigators to help formally eliminate the brothers as possibilities.

The statement comes after Memphis police announced that the remains of three children, believed to be between the ages of 3 and 7, were found in a wooded area in southwest Memphis.
