Been off the grid for awhile, but had to come back for this one.
From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch 11 hours ago (with notes from me):
Two Frontenac men were charged Monday with raping a woman after threatening to "Waterboard" her, and recording the attack.
(Frontenac is a very high end part of St. Louis County yet it has this messed up trailer park that has been there since WWII and the city has been unable to get rid of it. This attack occured in the trailer park, not in the million-dollar subdivisions)
Alexander Doering and Jeremiah Horsfall-Steinbrenner, both 22, of the 11100 block of South Forty Drive, were charged with 1st degree rape and felonious restraint and held in lieu of $200,000 cash-only bond. (For around here, that's a damn high bond, and cash only? Yeah. They will be in County for a long time)
The woman reported to police about 7:40am Sunday that she was raped at the men's trailer overnight after being taken there "under false pretenses."
Frontenac police said the woman went to the trailer to get her computer repaired.
The charges say the suspects showed her handcuffs, a water pitcher, and a towel and threatened torture unless she had sex. They also allegedly locked her out of her cell phone by changing the password.
Doering recorded the sex (no, Post-Dispatch, he recorded the RAPE) on Horsfall-Steinbrenner's cell phone, charges say. Officials say the victim escaped after the men fell asleep.
Frontenac police Detective Timothy Duda said the woman is at least 17. He would not say if she knew the men.
(I can't get the mug shots to post but will try again on the laptop. They are... worth the trouble. Doering had a Facebook page where he identifies as female and is an escort named Alyssa. He also complains in a post to HS that he is angry that Facebook will not let him register as both HS's girlfriend AND daughter saying "dats racist.")
(Also, HS went to the same junior high as 2 of my relatives, albeit 2 years ahead of the oldest, which makes me wonder if the rest of his family is still in my hometown, just down the road from Frontenac. But no one seems to know where they went to high school, which, if you are from here, is always a big deal.)
