Puppy shot in legs in Pell City, donations sought

The Pell City Police Department is asking the public for help in locating those responsible for shooting a puppy Sunday night.

According to PCPD, the puppy, named King, was shot in both rear legs at 8 p.m. on Shady Dale. Authorities say the incident was done for “no apparent reason except to inflict pain and bodily injury.”

PCPD says they have found the owner and that the veterinarian bills will be large and are asking for donations to be made at the Pell City Animal Shelter for King.

And why would you need a gofundme for this though? It costs like 50 bucks to euthanize an animal and only a cruel piece of shit would want to keep this poor animal alive to prolong its suffering.

That's horrible. I hope King and the veterinarians talking care of King are able to show strength and resilience through this trauma. Putting the puppy to sleep without giving him a proper chance would only enable the human garbage who committed the vile act against him. I hope he is not disabled and disfigured permanently, but who knows? I do not.

I could totally see it happening that someone could be traumatized just by seeing the dog's injuries; the dog himself certainly is.
