Puppy Fights For Life After Found Shivering In The Gutter In Fresno

A sweet little dog was found shivering and nearly drowning in a gutter in Fresno.

"Why?! Why did people drive by this little dog for a full day and not even car that he was slowly dying there in the gutter???!!!" said Mell Garcia of Mell's Mutts on social media.

"When I got to him he was shaking profusely, laying in the water from the rain and HE WAS DROWNING!!!" she said. "He was trying so hard to keep his head above the water line as he was blowing bubbles to try and breathe!!!"

As soon as he heard me walking towards him he opened his right eye and I could seriously feel his soul begging for help.

She said the little dog had trauma to the left side of his head that was already scabbing, so she thinks he was there all day.

That means he laid there in the rain with all of the cars rushing by all night!!! He was so cold!! And he's only a puppy!!

She scooped him up and put him in her car and drove him to a vet.


"So far xrays show no broken bones and bloodwork looked ok other than some abnormalities that usually happen because of trauma but they gave him warm fluids and got his body temp up and he is now alert and responsive and even peed," she said.

Please say a little prayer that he makes it.

Update on our little guy from the gutter

He is eating and much more alert but is still not using his back legs. He definitely has feeling and his sweet foster mom says when she scratches his stomach he moves them.
We are still hopeful he'll make a full recovery
