The only reason Im posting this is because its my neighbor down the block I live on 17th street and they live in 16th place.
My boyfriend and I knew the guy who shot the dude. Im sorry but Im just gonna say it , he was our dopeman. Just pot, ok guys?! Im not encouraging any drug use to any one.
But anyways heres what Ocala Star Banner has to say, and I Quote:
"Shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday, authorities were called to an address on Northwest 16th Place in reference to a shooting. Officer J. Quintero arrived at the location, and seeing the victim on the ground, applied pressure on the man's wound, which was by his face. The officer then performed CPR on Vega, authorities said.
Paramedics took over care from the officer and Vega was pronounced dead at 1:23 a.m. Vega died on the carport, police officials said.

Detective Robert Brown interviewed a woman at the Ocala Police Department. She told the detective that she picked up her husband from a friend's home around midnight and took him home.

At their home, the woman said, she was in the bathroom when she heard a pop sound. She left the bathroom, and her husband told her that someone had been shot and was on their back porch.
The woman said she did not believe her husband and went outside to check. Looking outside, the woman said she saw someone laying on their carport/porch area and not moving.

The woman said she picked up her child, who had followed her outside, and ran. She said her husband also ran. She said they got separated and she called 911 to report the incident.
Aside from her family, the woman told Brown, no one else had been at her home.

Officers got a search arrant for the residence and recovered a shell casing outside. Law enforcement officials collected other evidence from the scene.

Anyone with information can call Detective Daniel Collier of OPD at 369-7045. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 368-STOP or www.ocalacrimestoppers.com"

I knew the guy his name was Stan (street name "money" lol, more like po boy) and even though he was a dealer he was really nice. He was kind of paranoid though.
I know people on here are probably going to rip on me for buying pot, but it is what it is. https://www.ocala.com/story/news/2020/11/17/police-investigate-shooting-death-nw-ocala/6325998002/

Why on earth would we rip on you for smoking weed? Although I do love my jack n coke smoking's way better.

Back in the day I had been to places where someone was sitting there with a gun on their lap while transactions were being made. Not good. I suspect those people were selling more than weed.
Ok I admit it! He did sell everything. But I swear on my unholy bible, I only bought pot.
And he was a powderhead. The only reason I know is because Id go over there and hed be sniffing and rubbing his nose and there was some stuff that looked like baking soda but i dont think it was under his nose. I think thats what made him so paranoid.o_O

I believe you. Although I did take black mollies and downers, I stayed away from meth, heroin, and cocaine. You might say I played around with the lesser addictive substances. Viet Nam was still raging, so we also were getting smack dusted weed and Thai stick which we picked up at the post office. Ah, the good old days.
