Oklahoma City Police arrested a mother in connection with a child's death that happened in November 2024.
On Nov. 2, 2024, around 7:15 a.m. responding police found a 2-month-old baby boy, Rory Kelson, unresponsive while being worked on by paramedics.
The child was later pronounced dead. At the time of his death, the baby was in the care of his mother, 33-year-old Brennan Spencer. On Tuesday, police arrested Spencer on a complaint of second-degree murder.

Yeah, I was pretending they were cousins or something... :bigtears:

I hope he is not looking for a payday.

Hello, I'm speaking on behalf of my dear Beloved, Brennan K. Spencer. My name is James Kelson, and I present an unprecedented case of injustice.

Long story short.....

Our infant son, Rory James Kelson, was found deceased on November 2nd of 2025.

Brennan and I recently had twins back in August of 2024. they were born 2 months premature. And on November 2, 2024 Brennan and I had decided to have a couple drinks that night after work, and we both made a detrimental decision that resulted in the death of our precious son, Rory. I woke up about 7am the next morning and Brennan was asleep holding Lorelie on the couch. While Rory was lying on his back at the end of the couch. I picked him up to carry him back to his basinet and when I laid him down, I knew he was deceased.

The courts have removed Lorelie from our home temporarily and now 8 months later have just arrested and charged Brennan with 2nd degree murder for his death.

Rory passed away during that night due to accidental asphyxiation while sleeping a distance away from Brennan. He had no blankets or any other objects around him. We do not know how this happened. However, we do know this was not murder!!!

Devastating losing a child, and having another taken, and then going to prison!

Brennan needs your help! We need your help! Our families together cannot afford to hire an attorney.

If you feel led to help support my efforts in getting the right justice in this case and get Brennan back home and my family back together, please help if you can.

The two main characters on the Gilmore Girls, but mother and daughter. Idk it just reminds me when my 6 year old wanted us to name the twins Phil and Lil from Rugrats.
I never watched Gilmore Girls. That is a bit too much isn't it? As I person that isn't fond of animation, I gotta say that I loved Phil and Lil! But yeah, you couldn't do that to your twins. My bosses wife's sister got to name his wife. Older sis is Sarah, little sis is Roni. Why would you let a two year old name your newborn? :banghead:

I got a friend's friend whose daughter's name is Fancy, after, I think, a Reba McEntire song but could be another singer, I don't do country.

A 33-year-old mother is accused of overdrinking and causing the death of her 2-month-old son due to unsafe sleeping late last year in the Oklahoma City metro.
About 7:15 a.m. Nov. 2, officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department responded to a 911 call at a home in the 9700 block of Mayview Court An onsite officer noted in a redacted incident report that, as paramedics wheeled the newborn out to the ambulance, the child was not breathing but was still warm to the touch, with blood coming from his face.
Rory Kelson, who'd been born that August, was later pronounced dead at OU Children's Hospital.

The medical examiner's report, cited in an arrest affidavit, gave the probable cause of death as "asphyxia due to an unsafe sleep environment." The doctor also wrote that he felt Rory Kelson had been a victim of neglect.
According to the arrest affidavit, James Kelson and Spencer told police that during the late hours of Nov. 1 into early Nov. 2, they had shared a 12-pack of White Claw Hard Seltzers, splitting six each between the two of them.
James Kelson told investigators that around 1 a.m., he and Spencer had laid Rory and Lorelei Kelson in their bassinets at the foot of their bed and went to sleep. As detailed in the affidavit, James Kelson did not awaken until around 6:45 a.m., when he went to the living room and found Spencer asleep on the couch holding Lorelei, with Rory unresponsive on the couch near her feet.
Spencer said James Kelson had asked her to go to the store around midnight to get more beer, investigators wrote. Video footage from a local 7-Eleven store showed Spencer purchasing four more cans of White Claw and leaving the store about 1:30 a.m. that Saturday. She told police that after she returned home with the drinks, she sat on the couch, fell asleep and did not remember anything after that, according to the affidavit.
"Due to Brennan's level of intoxication, her awareness levels were altered and had (Rory) been left in his bassinet the risk of being in an unsafe sleep environment would have been lowered and the probability of the child still being alive would have been increased," detectives wrote in the affidavit.

I hope Lorelei is removed from the father's care.
