Piano Teacher Dave Layman Does Some Tickling, but Not of the Ivories

FL - David Layman, 35, a piano teacher, was arrested Tuesday by Broward Sheriff's Office sex crime detectives on suspicion of the molestation of a 7-year-old boy. He was charged with child molestation stemming from an incident that occurred March 18,

The victim was at his home and was receiving a piano lesson, taught by Layman. During the lesson, Layman repeatedly fondled the victim. A week later, BSO was contacted with a report of abuse after the boy told his mother what had happened during the lesson.

On Monday, Layman, a teacher at the Imagine Charter School in Weston, and the Arts Academy of Hollywood, voluntarily met with detectives at the Public Safety Building and was placed under arrest. He is charged with lewd or lascivious molestation and lewd or lascivious conduct. He is being held in BSO's Main Jail without bond.

On two occasions Layman asked the third-grader to sit on his lap during movie time. While on his lap, Layman slid his hand down the boy's pants and underwear and fondled his penis, the report said....Layman admitted to rubbing the boy's upper thigh but said he did it out of praise, according to that arrest report. He did not recall the other touching, the report stated.

Sticking your hands down a young boy's pants and fondling his penis--that would be easy to forget, all right.
