A clever pup, housed at local animal rescue, had to face the law after breaking out of his kennel.

The Husky's escape was caught on the shelter's surveillance camera.

In a room filled with glass kennels, you can see "King" walk out of his kennel and head to the door.

You can see him stand up on his back legs and use his front paws to open the door.

Once he makes it to the next room, he starts sniffing around, while knocking office items over, including some doggie food in a container.

A Tempe police officer greets the dog at the exit door before he makes a run for it.

The man in uniform is seen walking "King" back to his kennel before taking the call of duty - cleaning the mess left behind by the "naughty dog."

The shelter's Facebook post indicated that the "breakout" happened overnight.

Jodi Polanski, the director at the shelter, told The National Desk"King" also tried opening other kennels too.

"Lost Our Home" is a non-profit pet rescue in Tempe, Arizona.

Huskies are smart, very smart. My Aunt and Uncle had Snowball, whenever she was left alone she would chew things up and make a very big mess, my Aunt soon discovered that Snowball would chew up something of whoever was the last to leave the house leaving Snowball alone at home. She was smart and beautiful.
