A woman is in critical condition after being shot multiple times in East Elmhurst Saturday afternoon, police said.
The victim was shot by a man wearing blue jeans and a beige jacket, authorities said, and was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition.
The woman may have been struck in the abdomen, according to first responder radio transmissions.
The shooting was the second reported in the borough within 12 hours.
