A man has been charged after police say he admitted to killing a 3-week-old puppy by putting it in a clothes dryer.

He told officers he did it because Cammie was being mean to the house cat, according to police.
South Bend police say 18-year-old Jeremy Lindsey was arrested just after 10 p.m. Wednesday night at 519 Sherman Avenue.

According to probable cause documents, Lindsey's dad, Justin Duis, told police that his wife, Danielle Chubb, found the dead puppy. She told police that Lindsey took her to where the dead animal was lying on a couch. She recalled that the puppy was scraped up and looked like it had been hit by a car.
Chubb told officers that when she went to do laundry later in the day, she discovered that the dryer was full of blood and hair.

She told her husband, and they called police.
Lindsey was arrested and will be held until a mental health evaluation and bond hearing are held.

Officers spoke with Lindsey, and they say he admitted to killing the puppy.

16 News Now spoke with Duis off camera, and he says Lindsey had just moved in with him and Chubb a couple weeks ago.

Duis says Lindsey was a son he never knew about until recently. They had just enrolled him in school and didn't expect their reconnecting would take a tragic turn.

The prosecutors office requested Lindsey stay locked up.

"Given the nature and circumstances of this crime, the State has a concern of the safety of the community, as well as the safety of Jeremy Lindsey," the probable cause documents state in a request that Lindsey be detained until bail hearing and a mental assessment can be conducted.

Bummer.
I suggest getting a restraining order and a gun.
I would also say that they should do a DNA test to see that this fuckin' freak is really a blood relative or some psycho who is just claiming he is his son. Pictures can be PhotoShop fakes of him and the "birth mother". This guy looks like a dirty grifter. So a gun and a restraining order would be the best thing for this man and his wife! And I don't think he's 18 either!

Immobilize him in a stress position. Cut a hole in a microwave door. Stuff his dick and balls through the hole and apply lots of Shoe Goo to keep a tight seal and prevent removal. Inject him with a barely sub-lethal dose of pure meth so he can be vibrantly awake for hours while the adhesive cures overnight while he contemplates his fate in Technicolor. At zero hour, provide him with a coarse handsaw in his dominant hand, while maintaining all the rest of the restraint system. Turn on the microwave. Post the video to YouTube, etc., with a clear message posted in print and audio, in every language, that this will henceforth be humanity's response to every heinous crime of violence against people and critters.

An ass charged for torturing and killing a puppy in a clothes dryer, failed to appear at his sentencing today.

18-year-old Jeremy Lindsey was arrested on Jan. 29 after his stepmother found the family puppy dead on the couch at their home.

She later found blood and hair in the dryer that officials say he used to kill the puppy.

Lindsey reportedly told police he did it because the puppy was being mean to the house cat.

He pleaded guilty last month as part of a plea agreement.

A warrant has now been issued for his arrest.

Jeremy Lindsey, an 18-year-old who was accused of killing a three-week-old puppy, has been sentenced to two years in jail.

Lindsey pleaded guilty to Killing a Domestic Animal and Torturing or Mutilating a Vertebrate Animal. Both of these charges are misdemeanors. A charge of Animal Cruelty has been dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

Lindsey served 233 days so far in the St. Joseph County Jail, bringing his total jail time for the charges down.
Lindsey admitted to police that he killed the puppy because it was being ”mean” to the house cat, according to court documents.
