The suspect in a shooting that left a mother and her three sons dead, and her daughter injured, has died.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said 34-year-old Stephen McKenzie was pronounced dead on March 27 by hospital staff. McKenzie was accused of fatally shooting Julie Cruz, 32, and her sons Xion Solomon, 11, Nova McKenzie, 2, and Emery McKenzie, 2. The four were found dead at their home on March 26. Cruz's daughter was also shot and is receiving medical treatment.
McKenzie was also found in the home with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigators revealed that Cruz and McKenzie shared two sons, Nova and Emery McKenzie.
