Murder-Suicide: Massachusetts Father Killed Daughter And Wife Before Shooting Self

Officials on Friday identified a Lowell man who killed his wife and 7-year-old daughter before turning the gun on himself as Steven Johns, 52, and identified Johns’ wife as Kaydion Dawson, 45.

Johns called 911 just before 6:40 a.m. on Saturday and told dispatchers he had shot his wife and child, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office said previously.

When police arrived at the Warren Street apartment where Johns lived, they found him dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Dawson and the couple’s 7-year-old daughter were also found dead inside the apartment.
