"Heidi Broussard and her 2-week-old daughter Margot Carey were last seen Thursday at around 7:30 a.m. when Broussard dropped off another child at Cowan Elementary School. Police believe they returned to their home near West William Cannon Drive and South First Street afterward, but they haven’t been seen since.

Austin police provided this photo of Broussard from Thursday morning at Cowan Elementary. The clothing pictured is what she is believed to have been wearing when she was last seen, according to police."

"Broussard’s friends have been looking for her and sharing her photo since last night.

In addition to the details provided by police, her friends say online that when Broussard’s husband arrived home, her vehicle, purse and baby bag were all there but the door was wide open and she and the baby were missing. Police have not confirmed that.

Her friends say they have contacted all of her other friends but no one has seen or heard from her."

Welp I just spent way too long internet sleuthing and it's looking more and more like the boyfriend/"fiance" killed them. People have pointed out the similarities in his behavior to the Watts family case... And possibly the most damning evidence is that his Facebook apparently lists him as single.

A 'close friend' of Texas mother Heidi Broussard who was with her when she gave birth last month and pretended to be pregnant herself has been arrested in connection with her death.

Megan Rose Fieramusca, aka Maygen Humphrey, is being held in county jail on kidnapping and corpse tampering charges.

It remains unclear how long Megan and Heidi knew each other.

But KVUE reports that she was present when Heidi welcomed her baby last month.

Megan also had a baby registry with a partner named Christopher Green where she asked for goods from Target.

Christopher's name is on the deed for the house where Heidi was found dead and Margot was found alive.

This was a friend who was dear enough to participate in the birth, so someone very close, a very good friend. Heidi seems to have had terribly poor taste in friends and her danger radar was not functioning at all. What a tragic situation.

Echoing @ Brillig 's 1st sentence, and to add: That this "close" friend..erm, *fiend* intended to pass off the victim's newborn as her own child.
Even other mutual, and multiple female friends are admitting that they too somehow missed any and/or all warning signs that may have been exhibited.
It seems that this sociopath learned to wear the camouflaging mask of "normality" extremely well among those who were around her on a regular daily/weekly basis. :(

Many articles i read says that this bitch had a bf and that the two of them together had a baby registry up online. Ive heard nothing else about there being any other suspects though. Very curious if this bitch did it all on her own or if she had a bf involved.

I dont know how one could have known or suspected anything.

The bitch had been saying she too was pregnant in the weeks leading up to the dissapearance. That could be reason why no one suspected her, outside of the outlandishness of suspecting some random close friend could be capable of something like this. Why would a woman pregnant with their own kid do something like this?

I read another friend was being interviewed on some internet podcast and the host of that broke the news to her that authorities had named this bitch in the investigation, and this friend went off about how shocking it was and how that was the victims best friend. Met in church camp like 25 years ago or some shit.

I just saw a rerun news story (yes, my local news is so shitty, they rerun old news) of the bf pleading for her safe return and he never once looked at the camera.
I guess I cant always go by that.

The conviction follows a crime in Austin, Texas, that began with the disappearance of a 3-week-old baby girland was followed with widening interest as the investigation unfolded and police zeroed in on Fieramusca. Police say the child was later found alive at a home in the Houston area along with Broussard's body in the trunk of Fieramusca's car.

According to an arrest affidavit at the time, Fieramusca abducted Broussard on Dec. 12, 2019, and packed her into a black duffel. Broussard had last been seen dropping off an older child at an elementary school in Austin. Her death was ruled homicide by strangulation.
