"Redding police were called Thursday night to the intersection of Grace Avenue and Sacramento Street in Redding after a man called 911, claiming he'd been shot in the face during a fight; but it turns out he was intoxicated.
Police arrived at the home with a significant response for safety, including a police bearcat, in the event that shots had been fired.
RPD said the man was severely intoxicated.
They say the man who called them had engaged in a fight with another person on the nearby Willis Street.
Police said no arrests were made because the fight was mutual."
