How can there possibly be studies on the death penalty as a deterrent when its not utilized? It's no threat. It basically says you get life, unless we get around to it. Meanwhile, during your exhaustive appeals, you may be cleared by a speck of DNA where someone sneezed 20 years ago.

I think if you had a death penalty where you got hung 24 hours later, things would change.

I do completely agree that the studies are difficult to do well but states like Texas are still offing criminals. I just can't for one second believe that the people who qualify for the death penalty stop and say "hey, but what about the consequences of hacking this person to pieces? Is it worth my life? What is the personal value?"

Faster executions would help certain issues but we'd definitely, unquestionably be murdering a couple innocent people along the way. Most people who get "cleared" later probably are guilty of the crime but a few sure aren't.

Ok I don't know how to post pictures off the ipad ,but anywho Alexis is STILL in jail.go look on her moms facebook .alexis was still there last week Wednesday .i don't think that's alexis that got married,but could be wrong

they lowered her charge on tampering with physical evidence its now only 75,000 so she must have seen a judge and must be putting on the victim act pretty well. Has anyone else seen any updates on anything like the medical examiners report
 
It's updated. Homicide and blunt force traumatic injuries. I was hoping they would put a time of death to verify if it was July 4th or before. Rest in peace Tylea.

I just saw that on Tarrant county site. What is that last charge stand for? Before when it said injury to child it was only for $25k.

Injury to a child/elderly person /disabled person causing serious bodily injury or mental injury. This could be a first degree felony
 
The money is the and/or part of a charge. So if I'm changed with burglary, I can be sentenced to up to 5 yrs and/or $50,000. It's hardly ever the AND, maybe some restitution if I stole ur diamond ring. But in this case.
She's charged with injury to a child causing bodily harm and tampering with evidence. I'm gonna guess, w/o knowing past convictions, she'll do less than 10.
He however is screwed.
 
I have never commented. But I've been on the site for a while. This case actually brought me here because my EX husband was Chris's Ssgt for a short time. In my eyes she should be charged with everything he is getting charged with. I'm glad I stuck around to read more. I've became addicted to this site.
 
According to her Daddy's Facebook, he wants her OUT of jail. He totally blames the guy and thinks his daughter is innocent. I get it, the man lost his granddaughter in a most horrific manner and now his daughter is locked up, he must be out of his mind with grief.

He sent his ex-wife $5K for Alexis' bail. The ex is super pissed because he sent it through the courts, in the form of child support because he knows if he just hands it over to her he'd never get it back and she wouldn't give him credit for it. It seems that in retaliation his ex is taking her sweet time going to bail their daughter out. At least that's what daddy thinks.

I find interesting that these moral people are like like like but no comments on the hush hush she is getting a dead child's child support what that ain't true .... Can't be true really!!!!!! Why don't y'all ask Chris I have paid Child support to this POS on my son that's lived with over how long Angela Garza Botello and that ain't enough and she is pissed because I sent bail money through child support instead of directly to her like here you go Angela and Marjorie came down here twice to see Alexis and didn't even ask about Bubba Richard like why oh that's right she puts that on me he has a phone he calls whoever he wants or doesn't want he talks to Pepper and Marisol why not Angela or Marjorie I wonder ...


Ricardo Botello Alexis can't get out for several reasons one because I sent bail $ through child support office $5K instead of to her or at her discretion and she wants Alexis under her control in because Angela wants her to be there to babysit her kids like Alexis hasn't been through enough and if it ain't her way and Marjorie's then Alexis can stay in jail even though the $ is there

That's child support not a bail fund. That means the money is going towards child support not bail. But most women will agree child support is not to be used to bail someone out of jail. If u had sent it to Alexis Attonery we wouldn't be having an issue.

Angela Garza Botello Wtf ever, the child support was never in my name. It went from Chris to Alexis, I never had access to tyleas child support. . Again making an ass of urself. N as far as getting paid child support for Richard, u better go back n read the custody papers. When u gained custody of Richard the child support stopped. So again making urself look like a dumb ass. I wish u would get ur facts straight before posting crap on Facebook just makes u look dumb. Smdh

So basically, because he sent it through CP, she's gonna keep it for herself and NOT bail her daughter out? That's all kinds of fucked up.



And I look at grandpa like this: he's becoming Cindy Anthony. He lost his granddaughter already, he doesn't want to lose his daughter as well.

And if the daughter ever gets out of this and if she ever finds out about this or the comment her own mother made (about her dad being a dumbass for sending the bail money through child support), I don't think her and her mom are going to be on very good speaking terms....
