Lawyers mock Hunter Biden’s art-for-child-support deal: ‘Can’t pay for milk with his paintings’​

Hunter Biden, 53 has settled his ongoing child custody dispute with baby mama Lunden Roberts by striking a rather strange compromise.

The beleaguered First Son will not give his love-child Navy Roberts, his last name – as requested by Lunden.

But the amateur artist will give her one of his paintings.

A bizarre clause in the settlement stipulates that Hunter provide Navy, 4, with the proceeds from an undisclosed number of his novice works for an undisclosed period of time.

And lucky Navy. She can even keep one of his abstract masterpieces for herself, and save it for her personal collection or in a “gallery designated by Lunden Roberts.”

Last week, The Post reported that a source close to the first son saying Roberts had agreed to a reduced monthly payment of $5,000 from $20,000.

Famed New York divorce attorney Raoul Felder called the artistic arrangement, “preposterous.”

“I’ve done over 3,000 cases in my lifetime, and you get all kinds of experiences,” he told The Post

“But I’ve never heard anything like giving a child a painting for child support. Child support is not supposed to be based on making the child an art collector. Mothers need support. You can’t pay for milk with a painting. The landlord doesn’t want your paintings.”

Attorney and author Jeffrey S. Stephens, who co-wrote divorce guide, “The Road to Splitsville” was also shocked.

“Put me down for laughing out loud,” he told The Post. “I’ve done celebrity divorces that aren’t nearly this weird.'”

Stephens, who is based in Greenwich, Conn, has overseen divorcing celebrity clients making creative settlements in terms of their children’s future, but none with sets of abstracts.

One wealthy client who split from his wife of many years paid for extras like trips overseas or culinary school tuition.

“I had one divorcing couple where the daughter wanted to open a diner, so they bought her a diner. These things happen, but they are always backed by the gold standard. The money is there,” said Stephens, adding that Biden’s paintings aren’t guaranteed to be worth anything.

I really feel sorry for the little girl. She’s just a baby now. She will grow up. She will see these things online. Her classmates will see it online and tell her about it. I really hope her maternal family is really good to her. It’s probably better for her to not have the Biden name even though it’s going to mean they’re denying her.

Critics have been quick to jump on what they call a disgraceful situation for a president who prides himself on being devoted to his family, with some calling the Bidens “monsters” for the omission.

“This is gross,” author Jerry Dunleavy said in a tweet linking to the New York Times story with the detail.

The report said aides have been told in “strategy meetings” over the past few years that President Biden only has the six grandkids, excluding Hunter’s toddler, according to two people descirbed as familiar with the situation.

The 4-year-old girl’s mother, Lunden Alexis Roberts, finally reached a settlement with Hunter last month over child-custody payments for the tot, court documents revealed last week.

What's to keep him from selling his "paintings" at a lower amount than what they would have ordinarily sold, or if he stopped "painting" at all, so nothing going into the bank. Yeah I would have stood firm on a more substantial, less fleeting type of money. CASH on the barrel head and nothing else. He could sell his precious "paintings" himself and forward the money to her. He lies, cheats and steals, yet he's being trusted to do this?

IMHO, the outrageous high prices are reassurance to the buyers that they are getting something remarkable. His paintings are Veblen goods.
It's a pricing strategy.

I'm less offended that he dares to price them so high, I'm offended that idiot buyers support this delusion.

I don't think Lunden is asking for something outrageous like $75,000 a month, which is what he charges for a painting that maybe takes 2 days to finish.

I don't know if Turd has already covered this but Business Insider say his lawyers say he's already paid $750,000. I'm not convinced. I think that might be for her attorney fees. But that's very mean that little girl is excluded from the family.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre once again declined to answer questions about President Biden’s estranged granddaughter following a weekend report claiming that aides are told not to acknowledge Hunter’s child with a former stripper.

Jean Pierre was asked about the New York Times’ bombshell report Saturday on 4-year-old Navy Joan Roberts, whom Hunter Biden shares with Arkansas baby mama Lunden Alexis Roberts, at Wednesday’s press briefing.

“There was a story in the New York Times over the weekend about Hunter Biden’s daughter in Arkansas. Does the president acknowledge this little girl as his granddaughter?” a reporter asked.

“I don’t have anything to share from here,” Jean-Pierre bluntly responded.

President Biden was accused of “scarring” his son Hunter’s estranged 4-year-old daughter with an ex-stripper, who the commander in chief refuses to acknowledge along with his six other grandchildren.

In a column titled “It’s Seven Grandkids, Mr. President,” Maureen Dowd excoriated the family-crazy 80-year-old president for cutting granddaughter Navy Joan Roberts, who is the child of Hunter and former stripper Lunden Alexis Roberts, from the Biden family tree.

“Joe Biden’s mantra has always been that ‘the absolute most important thing is your family.’ It is the heart of his political narrative. Empathy, born of family tragedies, has been his stock in trade,” Dowd wrote.

“Callously scarring Navy’s life, just as it gets started, undercuts that.”

Despite cultivating an image as a devoted and loving grandfather, Biden for his part, has refused to publicly acknowledge his granddaughter in Arkansas — repeatedly telling the world instead that he has only six grandchildren.

In fact, Biden aides have been told in “strategy meetings” for years that the president only has six grandchildren, not seven, which the Times first reported. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre this week declined to answer questions about Navy Joan following the report.

“I have six grandchildren, and I’m crazy about them. And I speak to them every single day. Not a joke,” the president said at the White House’s “Take Your Child to Work Day” in April.

Dowd revealed Saturday that her Republican sister, Peggy, was writing a letter to the president about his treatment of the flaxen-haired child.

“I watched as you told the nation that you had six grandchildren and you loved each one of them. I believe that,” Peggy Dowd wrote, according to the column. “What I cannot believe and what I find unconscionable is that you refuse to admit or accept the fact that there is a beautiful little 4-year-old girl living in Arkansas by the name of Navy Joan who is your seventh grandchild.

“She has the Biden blood running through her veins, and all she is going to have as a reminder of this are some of Hunter’s original paintings; sounds like a lousy trade-off, if you ask me,” Peggy continued.
