Loveda "Veda" and Robert Proctor, ages 92 and 89

... and ex-Navy Seabee Robert will smoke wherever the hell he wants to!

They seem fun and feisty.

Robert needed to go to the VA on January 11, because he felt "like hell".
I don't know Robert, but imagining him saying that makes me smile fondly.

They set out kind of late in the day, at 4:10 p. m. but these 2 take care of each other, so off they went to see the docs.

As some of us are all to aware, popping in to the VA is a multi-hour visit much of the time, and it was already dark when they started the drive back home.
Robert has dementia, and Loveda gets disoriented while driving at night but she gamely tried to drive them home cause there's no such thing as "can't" for people like the Proctors.

The drive should only take 30-40 minutes.

Piecing together surveillance footage here and there, they appear to drive around "aimlessly" from around 8 p.m. on, trying to find Aurora, and stopping at least once at a home in Giltner to ask directions.

Neither they nor their blue Chrysler Pacifica have been seen since.

"Robert Proctor, 89, is described as a white male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, 145 pounds with thin gray hair and a cobra tattoo on his right forearm. His wife Loveda Proctor, 92, is described as a white female, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 180 pounds with blue eyes, gray hair, and a New England Patriots tattoo on her right arm. Robert reportedly has dementia and requires blood pressure medication. "

This will not end well for them.
I can't imagine there's any hope.

An "elderly" couple, the Penas, 77 and 79, along with their dachshund Daphne, got their vehicle stuck on a snowy mountain road here in Arizona this past week, and after 87 hours were found.

They conserved their food and supplies and stayed put.

I know 87 hours is a lot different than 24 days, but I thought some nice news for you would be good.

Sad, but not unexpected news:

"On Saturday at about 3:15 p.m. the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office said they were contacted by a citizen who found a vehicle stuck on a minimum maintenance road north of 100th and Keystone Road, northeast of Kearney.

“Deputies were able to locate the vehicle, which was identified as the missing vehicle of the Aurora, NE couple Robert and Loveda Proctor. Two adults were located deceased in the area of the scene, and preliminary investigation has identified the persons as Robert and Loveda Proctor. Foul play is not suspected,” said a statement from the sheriff’s office."
