Hero Of The Day: Mississippi Trooper Buys Car Seat For Woman’s Son After Ticketing Her 3xs

A Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper purchased a car seat for a woman’s son after writing her three traffic tickets.

Niya Sumter shared the story on Facebook of how she was pulled over by the trooper, Bradley Sanders, as she drove her child to his doctor’s appointment.

“Can I say how good god is?” Sumter wrote in the Nov. 19 post. “After giving me my tickets he said ‘follow me, let’s go buy your baby a car seat!”

Sanders told WAPT that he decided to make the purchase after speaking with his wife, who called him during the traffic stop.

The officer said Sumter was “very grateful” and understood why she was pulled over. “She had no issue with what was going on,” he said.

The three tickets could be dismissed in court, Sanders told WAPT.

Or maybe im an assumptive asshole and she really was just too dirt-poor to do this shit legally/safely but still HAD to transport her brat around.

Curious what the tickets were for. Odd to get THREE of them. What a dick move by this cop to not let at least one of em go as a warning.
