A Georgia, woman is facing multiple charges after she pulled a gun on two children riding their bikes.

Patricia Compton, 52, has been charged with aggravated assault, child cruelty and terroristic threats connected to the incident.

According to the incident report, Compton explained to responding authorities that a neighbor called her earlier in the day to tell her two people were on her property. She later told deputies that she neither owns the land nor lives on it but said the property houses a construction shop and that she had animals there, WXGA reported.

The juveniles told deputies they went to the property specifically to see the animals and that when Compton arrived, she pointed a gun at them and said, “Stop, or I’ll shoot you.”

WMAZ identified the children as 12-year-old Kaleb Barnes and 13-year-old Ethan Hollis.
Compton reportedly told deputies that she did not realize the “trespassers” were kids, did not know if they were armed and that “she knew there aren’t many ‘Black kids’ in this neighborhood, so she thought it was strangers that were up to no good,” WXGA reported.

"When the officer was explaining the law to her, she then told the officer that if the kids had approached her, she would have shot them. This is what we're dealing with," said Kennedy.

“The lady pulled up in the driveway and she came in really fast,” Hollis explained. “She got out of the car and we got scared. I started running and then she said, ‘Freeze a**holes before I shoot’.”

Willie Williams, Ethan’s grandfather, says both families have known Compton for years.

“We haven’t ever had any problems out of her. Nothing whatsoever. It surprised me to find out she did this. She knows these kids.”

Deputies arrested Compton at the scene. A family member posted her bond Sunday night.

Both boy’s grandparents say they felt relieved that nothing more happened. Kalleb’s grandmother, Henry Kennedy, says it’s a blessing that his grandson made it home safely.

Wait - she's a dumb bitch and all, but wasn't she alerted to trouble by a neighbor? If these kids were local, since she didn't live on the property, shouldn't the neighbor have known who they were? Seems the neighbor has some culpability here too... :shifty:
Why should the neighbor know who they were? Lots of neighbors don't know each other these days.
