Four Gwinnett County teenagers are charged with rape after police say they videotaped their attack.

17-year-old Cameron Richard is charged with felony Possession of child pornography, theft by receiving and felony rape, according to Gwinnett County Detention Center records.

A Snellville police report says the assault happened in the area of South Gwinnett High school at 2288 E. Main Street. Investigators say Richard and three more juveniles are charged with raping a 16-year-old girl. The rape was reported to the school resource officer on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 4 just after 2:30.

The group of teen left South Gwinnett High School around 2:00 on May that day with plans to use drugs. While the victim was under the influence, she was raped in the bus parking lot.

Police tell 11Alive News the boys videotaped the attack and spread it through the student body at South Gwinnett High School. That video is now evidence in the case against the group.

This poor girl went straight to report it & they still managed to send off their rape video to a friend. I hope the HS is prepared to deal with all the kids who received it and not just ignore it.

Four former South Gwinnett High School students charged with rape have reached a plea deal with the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office that will allow them to leave prison while they are still in their 20s.

Cameron Richard, Darriah Mitchell, Tavien Hartwell and William Thompson could have been sentenced to life in prison if the case had gone to trial. Instead, they agreed to plead guilty to attempted rape and serve eight years of a 15 year sentence.

Something tells me the victim likely didnt want to go through the hardship of a trial and testifying.

And/or it's possible there was a question as to whether it was consentual, if she's not clearly passed out or totally out of it on the video they have as evidence, a defense attorney is going to run her through the fucking mud and back.

Let's me honest though, even if they had been convincted in full of the worst possible charge, they wouldnt have gotten much time anyways.
