(sorry, I've started writing it yesterday, and most of the articles I wanted to cite are now dead?! ((as my one and only quote comes from)))
Everything from computers, to telebeams, card readers and... Forklifts, among others (embedded Windows runs on many things, we had no idea have any computers inside)
In USA, it was up to 80% and 43 out of 69 states.
Some of the machines still don't work, and will not, without a physical access to them, 5 days after the faulty update.

Today is one of those days that will go down in history as an unmitigated IT disaster, with CrowdStrike responsible for taking systems down all over the globe. We know airports, hospitals and the usual critical infrastructure suspects have been affected, but CrowdStrike is disrupting daily life in some unexpected ways, too.

I'm not a conspiracy nut... ok, of course I am, but get some cash , it may come handy in situations like this one (90% of card payments in English taxis were down)

As for history , CrowdStrike was ONE AND ONLY 3rd party ,which had access to DCN's servers after the alleged hack in 2015/16, that has proven bias towards Clinton over Sanders, among other things.
FBI said "sure, we believe you, it's not like you were paid by the DNC.
Yet, the Wiki page of said incident, points to all the "agencies" and companies, stating it was 100% Russian attack.
And their CEO testified, there was no proof at all, that it has any connection with Russia.

Crash course on hacker attribution - IP, everyone knows how to use VPN, geolocation, same as before , keyboard layout in Microsoft Word, everyone knows about this one too for decades, but just keep pretending it's something new, aa long as it fits our narrative, bang....

Interesting coincidence... George Kurtz

During the 2024 disruption caused by CrowdStrike, he was CEO of CrowdStrike.
During the 2009 disruption caused by McAfee, he was CTO and Executive VP of McAfee.

He's definitely talented, it is already called biggest IT outage in history.

Especially in USA, where you travel mainly by planes, how many were canceled, like 90%? Idk I just have seen the maps.
