An 11-year-old Florida boy took his own life following relentless bullying by his school teacher who repeatedly called him “stupid,” a disturbing new lawsuit alleges.
Louis Johnson, 11, shot himself “after enduring months of bullying and public embarrassment” from fifth-grade teacher Donna White, according to the lawsuit filed by his parents against the Marion County School Board on April 21.

White, a former teacher at Legacy Elementary School in Ocala, called Johnson “stupid” and said he “didn’t know anything,” and also recruited other students to bully him, according to the wrongful death lawsuit documents, as seen by WCBJ.

“I don’t know why you’re talking because you don’t even know anything. You don’t know nothing in this class. Isn’t that right, kids?” White told Johnson, the lawsuit alleged.
Johnson’s parents repeatedly reported White’s actions to the school and the school board, but they did nothing, according to the lawsuit.
White’s actions caused Johnson to suffer from depression and anxiety, culminating in him attempting to take his own life on April 27, 2023, as per the court documents.

Johnson died two days later in the hospital from his injuries, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Johnson’s parents handed out suicide prevention fliers in the school following their son’s death, laying out more allegations against White.

I hope the parents have everything documented and also sue the teacher personally (if possible).

i wish you would have only said donna white and left the kids out of it... she was the adult, the teacher so a person in authority and kids that age still listen to adults and of course the would agree cuz they didn't want to be her next target.....
I hope they carry that with them and use any shame or guilt they feel to better themselves and the lives of those around them.

I really think the issue is the teacher, 11 year olds are probably just reacting like any kid. Nowhere does it point to them joining in embarrassing Louis, I'm sure some laughed, acted like 11 year olds do, it's definitely not on them to carry any guilt

but unfortunately some of them will carry some quilt like any child that is abused does carry some quilt even when they are grown up there is still the "what if i had done or not done such and such" ... i sure hope those kids gets the help they will dif. need and i know if one of my kids was in her classroom that teacher would have to answer to me about more or less forcing my kid, by calling out all the kids in her room to participate, in abusing that poor boy and by sadleling my kid with guilt that shouldn't be his/hers, that will be needing counselling etc etc and all of that is on HER ....to me what she did in her classroom is no dif than let's say a parent encouraging their other kids to shame, put down the one kid that they are quilty of doing so themselves, to beat one of their sibs, or encouraging one of their kids to also sexabuse the one the parent is sexabusing...

They will and that is a good thing but wishing it on them when they are so young is a pretty shitty thing.

Their brains are not developed enough.

The school will offer counseling to the classmates and hopefully create a culture in all their students that bullying can lead to self harm whether it is done by a peer or a teacher.

My younger son had a teacher like that, he was told he couldn't participate on career day because he was only ever going to be a garbage man, because his desk was so messy. She would make the other kids in the class empty his desk into a trash can after he left on the first set of busses, then he would have to take time the next day getting all his stuff out while he got zeros on whatever lessons were taught while he was doing it. She put him next to a boy who was delayed in some way and sent me notes when they talked, and son is a talker.

I found out later she picked a kid out every year to bully. I tried to get him out of her class, but the principal refused to do it. I had him tested to get into a special class, he is slightly on the autistic rainbow and he has ADD, but all this took so long that the year was over. The next year was so much better for him, his teacher was great.

He works in the meat dept at WM and has for 23 years, he sees that bitch occasionally, she walks around like her shit don't stink, I'd like to trip her and make her fall in something really nasty, I'm sure WM's got something really yucky that would fit the bill.

Me and my mother would have gotten football years. Poor baby; I hope his parents bleed the school district FUCKN dry, because if this kid shot up his school because of the bullying and the schools district’s inaction, we’d be wanting everyone involved dead, the kid, and his parents too. Not defending school shooters, but this and suicide is what normally will happen, if the kid doesn’t drop out of school because of the bullying. I almost did drop out and started drinking in the final weeks, it was that bad.
