Bizarrely, I know Sherri Papini's new boyfriend/ fiancé, who is under suspicion in the death of his wife, Brittany Hibdon.

Brittany, 36, and Shawn Hibdon, 49, owned Hibdon Motors and were known thruout Northern California for their charming radio and TV ads.

It is alleged by friends and family that on Thursday, September 16, 2021, Brittany told her husband that she was filing for divorce.
Four days later she was dead.
She'd suffered Covid-like symptoms and a postmortem test was positive for Covid.

How did Shawn meet Sherri?
The Hibdons had been in marriage counseling and Sherri Papini's ex sister in law (who switched allegiance to Sherri) was the therapist for Brittany Hibdon and introduced them.

Along with a half million dollar home, a successful business, $41,000.00 GoFundMe proceeds raised for Brittany's service (?! why?) possible life insurance, there's a brand new $775,000.00 luxury home in Shingletown he's ensconced her in, so he does alright for himself.

According to Sherri's ex-husband in the recent Hulu documentary, Sherri had received a settlement or severance pay or something from her job during their marriage and had spent some of the money on a breast augmentation and other frivolities and when she was running out of money and had to face the prospect of finding a job she panicked and ejected herself from her life and faked the kidnapping.

There are unflattering and unkind characterizations of Shawn floating around town that have been repeated so much they are taking on the illusion of truth.

Her family has started the Justice for Brittany website, there are Reddit threads devoted to this, TikToks, and posters and flyers all over town this week in a blizzard of activity.

What do I think? I think Brittany had a co-infection with influenza, small towns are filled with holier-than-thou busy bodies, and a grown-ass man can date whomever he wants.

But I'd like to know what Sherri Papini was doing September 19, 2021.

This onslaught of publicity and accusations and ill-will has been overwhelming ( there are 2 teenaged sons that go to school in this small community, also) They're nice people. Brittany's family is too.

I just watched the Hulu documentary, what a fucking mess. Sherri’s husband was kind of a strange guy and you could see maybe he wasn’t always a great partner but damn he stuck by her through some wild shit. She seems like the most manipulative baby woman on the planet. Some men love that, they like to play the hero who swoops in to save the princess. Sherri wanted to be a trophy wife but after Keith caught her texting other men he was like no way not splitting finances. I wonder if the new boyfriend’s wife was over his BS and Sherri’s pitiful baby act made him feel like a man again.
The most sickening part of the doc was revealed at the end when Keith told the interviewer about how Sherri made her kids sick with rags soaked in chemicals. She has no contact with them anymore

Now, the 42-year-old is reenacting her disappearance and taking a lie detector test in the Investigation Discovery (ID) true crime docuseries, “Sherri Papini: Caught in a Lie.”

“She really did not want to do either one of those things, but I think she saw this as her one shot at getting her story out, and she was going to do whatever it took,” director Nicole Rittenmeyer told Fox News Digital.

Sherri Papini, the California woman who was convicted of faking her kidnapping in 2022, now claims she actually was abducted — this time saying her ex-boyfriend was the culprit.

Papini, 43 — who lied to the FBI in 2016 by claiming two Hispanic women had held her captive for three weeks — said she was in fact kidnapped during that time period by her former boyfriend James Reyes.
