Former President Joe Biden referred to black children as “colored kids” Tuesday as he explained what motivated him to get involved in politics during his first public remarks since leaving office.

Biden, 82, used the outdated and offensive term while telling an anecdote about his childhood move from Scranton, Pa., to Wilmington, Del., in which he noted that before his family relocated to The First State, he’d “never seen hardly any black people.”

“I was only going in fourth grade,” he said as he recalled his mother driving him to Catholic school in Wilmington. “And I remember seeing kids going by, at the time called ‘colored kids,’ on a bus go by — they never turned right to go to Claymont High School.”

Biden said learning that black children were not allowed to attend public school with white students “sparked my sense of outrage as a kid.”

I mean, are we really surprised though? He is, and has been, in obvious cognitive decline.

Reminds me of my grandma when she was "slipping" in the mind. She would tell me about how her and her sisters would be playing with "the little colored girls" they all knew from town and how their grandma (or "that mean old bitty") once whipped them until they bled for it. But the only time I ever heard her mean something offensive she said as an insult is when she talked about how " the Japs" or "slanty eyes" basically killed her only love in the war.
The shit she said was wild and I had never heard her talk like that before. Stuff that she would smacked anyone else right in their face for saying in front of her when she was more lucid. But aside from that small percentage of the time, she never meant it the way everyone would absolutely have taken it.

Not surprised at all... still amazed people believed to see or admit it for SO long... literally amazed!

My best friends mom is going on a couple years of this, it is curretly really bad. I used to see her maybe twice a month for 20 mins/30 mins at a time... I NOTICED it right away, just the way she was speaking and things she was saying... asking same questions only min's apart.

Everyone around him 100% knew... Jill is a disgusting woman

It is a hard thing to watch happen to someone you care about. I can't imagine what it must be like experiencing that type of confusion.

People knew, at least most people. They just didn't want to know. And I agree that Jill is horrible. She should have been the one to talk him out of a second run. All politics aside, it is incredibly cruel to push or encourage your clearly suffering spouse to keep on.

my friends mom swore her partner of over 20 years had a new girlfriend..... said she was stealing her jewelery etc, so mom was literally wearing EVERY piece of jewelry she could at once, and gave a ton to me and michelle so "that bitch couldnt steal anymore" like 10 necklaces, multiple rings on every finger, bracelets up each arm

the "girlfriend" was actually herself, she was getting up at night, moving things around etc and then not remembering doing it... hiding things etc...

It really is such a sad thing to be around, we had to move her out of the house and in with one of my friends sisters because she was being SO mean to her man, yelling at him for cheating etc, calling him horrible names.. she tells people he was a cheating bastard and she kicked him out and sold the house and lives with her daughter so he cant find her (this story is 100% true in her mind)

Hell, he's been a racist his whole life, till the democrat propaganda media turned him into a liberal nice grandpa figure the last few years

A loss of cognitive ability terrifies me...

How ever this Aussie sheila on SKY News, she might be my new favorite! I miss living in a society where you could just tell it like it is, sans all the PC bullshit! ;)

ETA: Learned how to spell "loss" and corrected it... :banghead:
