Beauty Salon Employee Charged With Sexual Assault

"Karoll Angelina Jurado-Hernandez, 46, of Norwalk, was charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

According to Norwalk police, Jurado-Hernandez was working at the Khronos Beauty Salon at the time of the incident.

Investigators said that the sexual assault happened within the establishment and involved a juvenile.

They obtained a search warrant for the suspect's DNA, which was found to be a match to evidence recovered over the course of the investigation.

An arrest warrant was then issued for Jurado-Hernandez. She was arrested on Tuesday."

Sexual assault in the second degree is a class C felony punishable by 1-10 years of imprisonment.
If the victim is under 16 years of age, a violation of §53a-71 is a class B felony punishable by 1-20
years imprisonment.

Connecticut's Risk of Injury Statute
53-21(a)(1), makes it a crime to place a child under the age of 16 in a situation where that child is at risk of life endangerment, injury to health or moral impairment, or to otherwise do anything likely to cause impairment to that child's health or morals.

Risk of injury to a minor is a serious crime. It can get prosecuted as anything up to a Class B felony. This means that you could face a prison sentence of up to 20 years and a fine of up to $15,000. Additional consequences could include probation, loss of custody of children if you endanger your own kids, and more.
