Australian Police Respond To Mentally Ill Man Shouting ' Allahu Akbar ' While Weilding A Knife

Police in Sydney opened fire at an escaped psychiatric patient after he shouted “Allahu Akbar” Three passersby were shot in the process.
Two officers opened fire at the Hornsby Westfield Mall as 23-year-old patient Jerry Sourian, armed with a knife, wandered around the center babbling and shouting.

Three bystanders were injured; all three women aged over 60 who are now recovering in hospital. Among them is an 82-year-old who was hit by police fire in the back, and a 65-year-old, wounded by bullet fragments in her lower leg.

In a video of the shooting that emerged, shocked screams are heard when police fire and shout, “Get down on the ground!” A police officer is heard apologizing to one of the women. "Ah, s***! I'm so sorry, so sorry," a voice says.

Stupid fucking lunatic should have been locked the fuck up. Our mental health system needs way more funding.

And NSW Police are frankly, a worry. Given their track.record, I do not think they're equipped to deal with all this lone wolf terrorism shit. They keep fucking up in a number of ways.

I understand being rusty becausr we used to be safe, til we let a bunch of these fuckers into the country, so they didn't have to deal with much in this kind of matter. But that's over. It's been over for quite awhile.

For fucks sake. If you cant shoot that lunatic without shooting a bunch of bystanders too, and he's got a knife, and not a gun or bomb - then DON'T FUCKING SHOOT, dipshit.

You're trained. He's not. Fucking crack his skull open with your shock rod. Pepper spray his ass. Taser the fuck.out of him.

I don't care that he was shot. Rock on. Crazy or not, he was a lunatic trying to harm others. But I think hitting the bystanders was just not on. It's not like the movies when you recover from gunshot. Its massive rehabilitation that can take years, many operations. The 82 yr old victim? You cannot imagine the shock and suffering her body is going through right now. Recovering from gunshot is a huge deal.

These cops need to be charged with crimes as well for their innacurate gunplay. Don't know how australia does these, but hopefully the city is paying out to the victim and their families for decades, and hopefully teh cops get fired at the very least.
