New Orleans police are looking for a 13-year-old runaway who was last seen getting into a car with a 22-year-old man authorities say she connected with on social media.

Rigoberto Usher picked her up from her home "against the consent of her guardian," a NOPD news release says. Police said Usher fled with Davis in his white 2011 Dodge Charger, Louisiana license WVC908.

NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Usher on the charge of simple kidnapping, department spokesman Aaron Looney said.

A preliminary NOPD report says the kidnapping was reported in the 5500 block of Wilton Drive, in Gentilly's St. Anthony neighborhood.

Anyone with information about Davis or Usher's whereabouts is asked to call NOPD's 3rd District at 504-658-6030 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.

He picked her up around 1:30 am this morning.

I HATE it when they call them runaways.
I mean, technically true, these children are still in danger

She's back home, he's in jail. Of course, they met online.

New Orleans police have arrested a man who was seen with a missing teenage girl he met online, investigators said.

Rigoberto Usher, 22, was arrested on a simple kidnapping charge, police said. He was booked Wednesday afternoon into the Orleans Parish jail.

Police said Aniya Davis is back with her family and in good health.

Davis, 13, went missing around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday in the Third District.

New Orleans police are looking for a 13-year-old girl who has been missing since late Jan. 31, when she stopped at her aunt's Gentilly home to pick up clothing, the NOPD said.

Aniya Davis left the aunt's home at 10:30 p.m. Jan. 28, nearly two weeks ago, following an argument, police said. She has not been seen or heard from since Jan. 31, when she made the brief stop to get clothing from the home, in the 500 block of Wilton Drive.
