"The Maricopa County Office of the Medical Examiner says “Alf” child actor Benji Gregory’s cause of death was a combination of heat exposure and cirrhosis of the liver.
Gregory, who starred as Brian Tanner in the hit 80s sitcom, was found dead alongside his service dog inside his car in a parking lot of a Chase Bank on July 11. Family members believed he went to the bank the night before but never got out of the car.
His sister, Rebecca Hertzberg, posted on Facebook that Gregory “fell asleep and died from vehicular heatstroke.”
Gregory was eight years old when he gained fame playing Tanner on the NBC show about a family that took in “ALF” — a hairy alien life form — after the creature’s spaceship crashed."
Big week for Alf.
