Marlon Perrilloux, 33, and Raynisa Young, 27, are charged with cruelty to juveniles, negligent homicide, and drug charges. They remain in the Ascension Parish jail with no bond.

The child weighed only 19 pounds and was 35 inches tall when he died. He was bedridden and apparently never left the house, according to investigators.
The case came to light on New Year’s Day when detectives say the parents put the child in a car and called 911, looking for help. Deputies met them at a gas station off Highway 73, where they started CPR on the child.
