Four people in Daphne are behind bars, charged with elder abuse.
The Daphne Police Department says the victim, and 82-year-old woman, was brought to Thomas Hospital in Fairhope on August 1. A news release says the woman had "reportedly suffered a fall" at a home in Daphne.
Officials at the hospital contacted Daphne PD, and an investigation was launched August 3.
Investigators say the woman had a number of bruises, open wounds, and broken bones. The release also noted that she was extremely malnourished and dehydrated, and weighed only 84 pounds.
The woman lived in the home with the four suspects, identified by police as family members to the victim.
They were arrested August 13, and charged with elder abuse.
They're being held in the Baldwin County Jail. The suspects are identified as:

- Audrey Estes, 63
- Zachary Lucy, 33
- Breanna Lucy, 33
